I use it to write powershell scripts or basic batch files for automation across my network. Today at work I asked it to write something to include in a batch file for a registry edit. All that I wanted it to write was a command to add a dword value to all subkeys under a specific key. I can do it in 1 or 2 lines depending on how you want it written but I am curious how AI would do it so I checked to see if there was some method I wasn't aware of. I specifically told it the purpose that it would be in a .bat file running as system user so it would know correct permissions and limits that it would be running under. Whenever you are working in .bat files and you are declaring a loop variable it is best practice to use %% as a single % can cause it to fail. Anyways the line it gave me had % only. So I threw it into the .bat file knowing it would fail and ran it. When I spit the error back at it then the response was a 10 line bullshit defining variables and trying to do recursive commands to run in powershell.I could go on but this one example typically is the norm. I maybe have 1 thing a month where it brings up a good point that actually is applicable.
