Things are happening fast in Brazil. For various reasons, our democracy turned into a managed democracy, controlled by Supreme Court justices, police officers and the public prosecution ministry. One of these justices, Alexandre de Moraes, started a police inquiry in 2019-2020 aimed at fighting fake news against brazilian judges and politicians, which he used to control all political opposition. Apparently, Mr. Moraes was tipping off high profile criminals, and getting paid for them, in a leaked report which was prompted by another judge (André Mendonça) in secret, who was tired of Moraes's powergrabs.What happened was the obvious: for trying to expose the truth, Mendonça became target of a police investigation by order of Moraes, and the head of the Supreme Court now wants to remove powers of Mendonça over cases involving his corrupt peers.
