They still somewhat ruined the LOTR movies, they went off track from the books in dozens of places. LOTR/Tolkein universe is GOAT however. Also canonically, there was not even one dark skinned or dark eyed full blood elf in the history of Tolkein's universe. They are literally 100% white and the only beings allowed into heaven.
