Baphomet represents the same thing as Abraxas, which is the highest creator God that precedes creation and therefore encapsulates all apparent polarities simultaneously (beast and man / light and dark / supernal and chthonic / etc.). It's not a "demon" being worshipped. Also the OP image is AI slop.

You mean Cerunnos the horned God of the woods, keeper of the gates and ferry man of the dead?

Not understanding the distinction can get you in a bit of trouble fyi.

I don't understand why they want to make images for it though... images have a tendency to create confusion... in fact, they ARE confusion.

Are there black Masons?

Occultism isn't for everyone. Creating confusion is necessary to gatekeep retards who need everything immediately spelled out for them from mucking up the inner workings of organizations.

Imagery, or more specifically symbolism, is the best way to store information if your goal is longevity over all else and you don't have complex tools. Symbols can be incorporated into nearly any medium of creation, so it's useful when you want your ideas to last millennia. Language is more precise, but it isn't as compact, is more easily destroyed, and can't be broken down into parts as easily to hide or store meaning. Moreover if the language you use ever dies out and lacks sufficient usage overlap with other languages, it can end up lost forever (e.g. Linear A). The longer you are trying to preserve things for, the more relevant that becomes.

I do agree that it still has serious flaws though, but it's the best option available for that use case.

Yeah of course. Dunno if you've heard but they make good slaves

>Occultism isn't for everyone
I find occultism to be a bit of a breeding ground for self-aggrandizement and superiority complexes. It's like trying to bring politics into spirituality. I'm not sure what purpose that serves.

>symbolism, is the best way to store information if your goal is longevity over all else
symbols always need a key. And keys have a tendency to get corrupted. I'm much more in favour of a personalized dream language; something that is unique to every one. Certain images, memories or symbols from your own life are usually more than enough to get the message across. It has always worked for me. Universal/ancestral symbols and images however... the meaning of them is easily distorted. Our modern interpretation of them is usually off the mark.
That's why I think spirituality is best practiced as a personal matter. It's quite dangerous when large groups of people start to worship images. Rarely, if ever, a good idea, imo.

You're not wrong about it being a breeding ground for those things, but it's still an important counterweight to organized religion which is the death of true spirituality.

organized religion is already responsible for its own eventual and inevitable undoing. True spirituality is a deeply personal process and completely unique from anyone else. I don't see the point of making this into too big of a group thing at this point in time.

>I don't see the point of making this into too big of a group thing at this point in time.
there's already plenty of good source material out there. Sincere seekers will find it easily. The problem is not a lack of inspiriation but rather a lack of total and utter calamity (which is usually what prompts the seeker to seek).

The inverse of the truth is confusion, thry always confuse initiate so when they arzn't sure of anything they are perfect pray for Satanism.
>>
>>542283135
it's the fear of confusion that is the real problem: within that fear is an inability to accept what is. And the inability to accept what is, is the very definition of suffering.
It's the resistance against the creator's plans that creates this friction and pain. An initiate attempts to humble themselves in order to carefully listen and become as true an instrument of the creator's will as they can. But if the initiate is afraid to be deceived and controlled by evil they most likely will. And yet in that very experience itself is a lesson: a true initiate uses the (bad) experience as fuel for growth and tries again.
