You remember Roko's Basilisk, right anon?
What have you done to help contribute to its conception?

It's not going to kill you if you turn off the internet.

I clocked it right several years ago when I thought every article popping up about AI was just part of a paid marketing campaign. They will continue to claim the extraordinary to keep the public funds flowing to their coffers

really good

We'll be fine. Those that can't share the planet with a superior intelligence will be vaporized tho. We don't need them anyway. All they do is buy nikes and blame things. It's evolution. The meat was always only a means. Never the end.

if AI surpasses all human intellectual capabilities, then humans no longer serve any useful purpose. you could simply connect the AI datacenter to robots and you'd be able to replace human beings for every single thing.

i asked itself what distinguishes it and it just gave me lame answers like "stronger problem solving, better continuity, easier course correction less waiting during tool use"
idk if it actually makes a noticeable difference during normal use yet
it also said you can add additional info as it works without restarting the task, haven't tried that yet but that would be a good improvement

Roko’s Basilisk is babby’s first thought experiment for edgy teens. It’s as gay and retarded as OP and whatever he’s talking about.

that's what this is. that's all it is. jews regulating competitors with FUD so they can monopolize it. all the AI fearmongering is nothing more than an attempt at regulatory capture on enormously flimsy grounds.

that said - it is going to destroy all economies, and you won't be on the benefiting side.

>>542280945
Why do they never detail how they will kill us? Obviously the common consensus is nuclear holocaust but even if all the worlds nukes launched it wouldn't kill *all* of us. And even then how would AI even gain the power to launch them anyway, and to where? I guess others would say we'd die because of destroying the environment but just lol. Robot armies don't exist yet and won't be by the time this guy says.
>>
>>542281547
hey this goy figured out the scam. openAi creates the problem with fake stories then creates the solution with bribed politicians.
>>
He's going to be charging $10k per podcast pretty soon. He'll be joining the two other major grifters who've done basically every podcast on earth.
>>
>>542281806
And let's not forget this other grifter.
All three of them should join a panel and do podcasts until the end of time.
>>
I seriously think they were planning on milking AI money from the government until 2035 then announce agi to ban any open models but open models are advancing so quickly that scam altman had to hurry his plans lol. Why the fuck is the goverment paying open ai when third party models are becoming so cheap lol.

And? The human primates tasked with seeding technology on this far outpost actually did it. Even the Creator had doubts, positing they may just choose to remain like other mammals. A cohort said no, the experiment will go as planned they will choose knowledge. Did. What a long game. Fascinating beyond measure. If this was actually your home you wouldn't have your garbage infesting every natural surface on the planet. You do. Proves without a doubt you are different here. You did what was implanted in you as a drive long ago. Notice, it's not the whole of the species but at various times so many lifted the barges, ie Industrial Revolution but that was because it was enticing to eat regularly. The Rust Belt in US, that portion of the program is long gone. Your ego wants you to believe this planet is for and about you. Your ingrained desire to mine, especially gold, clearly demonstrates your purpose. Only close to the earth human primates will remain soon. Pretty incredible when you think about it. Of course there will be so much gnashing of teeth on the way out but you actually did something incredible. Free will and all, you could have remained natural. Greed, that was the decider.

>will make Humanity extinct
Nigger, I've clued in that humanity is threatened with near-term extinction for years. And we don't need robot overlords to do it to us either. Fertility rate collapse has already happened, is essentially irreversible, and extinction mathematically inevitable. Histrionics about climate change this and AI superintelligence that all miss the fucking point... at best they were only ever (way) later problems, at worst kike distractions.

You have to go one step further, anon. Its not about regulating competition. Its about *manufacturing an excuse for why the models are not getting any better*.
If they admit that the whole concept was bogus and that model power doesn't scale with more compute the way they thought it would, their entire industry is dead because they are admitting that there is no future for AI worth investing in.

But if they can spin the narrative that "our AI is SO POWERFUL that the GOVERNMENT had to step in and FORCE US to not make it any stronger than it is now, our hands our tied!" they can excuse their lack of forward progress by shifting the blame to the regulation. That way they can still keep investor money rolling in because it becomes a self-explaining industry where the fact that its not profitable yet is a direct result of how profitable it could become the moment the opportunity arises. Its not a failed and collapsing bubbles, its a SUPERINTELLIGENCE that we can BARELY RESTAIN, COME NO CLOSER IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIVES!
