>Without an end to the Iran War, we are on track to see the 10Y Note Yield above 5.00% by next week.
Haha, all potential buyers of U.S. Treasuries realize that the U.S. can no longer pay its debts.
So they’ve simply walked away, waiting for the U.S. government to get into trouble.

Simply put, no one is willing to lend money to the U.S. government anymore.
You keep using your credit cards to pay off your debts until you can no longer apply for a new credit card.
Then you go bankrupt.

I actually hope for a crash. It will be painful in the short term, but a devalued currency will require the dumping of worthless Federal Reserve notes to an actual form of currency with real value. With no currency to buy anything abroad, Americans will also be forced to restart industries from scratch, just the way Russia had to after the Soviet collapse.

It'll be 10-15 years of shit, followed by a return to normal.

Oh, and Israel will be destroyed.

Stablecoins
If you buy $10 billion in U.S. Treasury bonds, you can issue $10 billion in stablecoins at a 1:1 exchange ratio.
These stablecoins can be used just like U.S. dollars.
You can now legally issue private currency.
President Trump has essentially sold the United States to banks and private companies.

By buying bonds, you invest in a country. People buy bonds because they're considered safe. If people refuse to buy them because there are certain... uncertainties about the future of a country, interest on bonds is raised to get people to buy them again. The profit people can make compensates for the chance that the bond loses its value. The higher the interest that's needed to get people to buy bonds, the bigger the expected pile of shit that's about to hit the fan.

I have said for a long time that BlackRock et al. sitting on their dragon's hoard of single-family homes is not a "you will own nothing" thing because rentals are a dogshit source of income when you factor in that homes are not really a durable good on a long timescale
what would be even funnier and the biggest "fuck you" to make everyone poor is if interest rates go up high enough that holding cash is advantageous again and the corps put their ~10% share of single-family homes on the market all at once as a bolus and undercut whatever the going rate is by 10-15% so they move quickly, then using that cash to buy other distressed assets.
doing that would immediately torpedo a third of all homeowners and put a shitton of people undewater, also perma-fucking anyone dumb enough to take equity loans

>capitalist
Capitalism died and went to heaven permanently in 2008. After that, all HNW entities, sovereign governments, hedge funds, transnational corporations are totally dependent on infinite supplies of debt note fiat currency QE from central banks all the time 24-7-365, in order to keep their operations and the global debt-based economy overall from instantaneous implosion.

capitalism isn't an economic system, it's a theory of value. what most people think is capitalism is just Smithian economic theory with a free market austrian tint
corporations aren't dependent on the debt instruments, they're exploiting them. Corporations are perfectly capable of operating in a non-usurous environment and will exist long after our government dies.

Trump, and the Fed printed over $16T in 2019 as part of the CARES act, knowing that by dumping that liquidity into catching the falling knife, the inflation from it wouldn't show up until at the very soonest 2023. Losing the election fucked up his plan and now he's dealing with his own shitshow that he started 7 years ago where he has:

>debt is inverse hypothecated capital
*Wrong.* Money = Debt
(You) comprehend and understand Nothing about these topics at all whatsoever.

First step for all anons is to comprehend and understand what money is, how it is created.
As stated >>542289196 the post-1970s global economy is Financialized, all wealth today is created from speculative debt instruments that never existed prior to the 1980s. 1999 repeal of Glass-Steagall was the official completion of Phase 1 of Financialization of the global economy: the investment banks became casinos.

Money is created *as debt*.
Entire global economy in 21st century is nothing more than a gigantic interleveraged debt and debt-instrument casino.
To understand, all anons need to watch and learn from these two films (plenty of references therein for further study):

The Money Deluge

>>542290219
>Money = Debt
no, the *creation* of money is debt because you are hypothecating future capital by creating additional money
not all money is debt, the money supply doesn't consist of just the balance of payments
by creating money, you are hypothecating assets or work that does not exist yet
if those assets or work are not created, inflation happens because there is now more money available for the same quantity of assets or work
the debt component of money stems from the fact that the creation of money is fundamentally disadvantageous for banks because fiat currency is used to purchase real assets and perform work, so if you issue a currency without debt, you're unbalancing the financial system in a way that doesn't benefit anyone
>all wealth today is created from speculative debt instruments that never existed prior to the 1980s
you're retarded
fractional reserve banking has been around forever, and its current incarnation has existed since the end of the great depression
this has been something over a century in the making because fractional reserve banking enables banks to create money out of thin air

Why, exactly, would the US use an institution like the federal reserve to lend the treasury money, rather than the treasury just issuing the currency itself?
>>
>>542290259
Its just insane to me because I seen people I regard as informed and intelligent to be talking about this as if its a solution to anything, regardless if they support it or not. The most I get is "the debt has to go somewhere" from them.
To think out loud, Institutions will be selling treasuries to raise dollars to close out dollar denominated debt and then flee with whatever capital left into alternatives. This leads to currency destruction and deflation of the USD (FRN for the autists). The USD will spike in value relative to other currencies for a small while due to demand, but there is more debt than available liquidity, but we got 0% reserve requirements and so the only thing stopping dollar acquisition is interest rates. Do they think they can set up some self fulfilling debt expansion to close out previous debts as everyone races to the exit? People will just default and walk away instead in that case.
>>

There is no grand plan to rescue America. Miggers are the weak men they warned us about. They are thieves of American success. Thiel to Brazil, Trump to Israel, Zuckerberg to Ireland, Bessent to UK, etc etc
>>
>>542286220
The US government doesn't borrow money, so it doesn't matter if no one wants to buy a bond. The only thing the US will accept as payment for the bonds that it issues is its own currency (it's own IOU), so the currency necessarily has to exist independent of and prior to any bonds being issued.

Central banks obviously control the overall system, it's the investment banks that are the center of it all.
'The Money Deluge' and '97% Owned' completely explain what central banks have been doing for decades — entire system today began eighty years ago with 1944 Bretton Woods and was at that time intentionally centered around the USD as a 'recovery' currency denomination for the global economy. Over decades and series of deliberate decisions (e.g. the 1971 event) the entire global system became dependent on just 1 single default reserve currency denomination (hence Brent Johnson's 'dollar milkshake', the whole world system all HNW transactions default to and prefer USD), and moreover after the 1980s with *speculative debt instruments* that had never in human history existed such as CDOs, credit default swaps, MBSs (invented 1978 but didn't become industry prevalent until early '80s) that now generate all of the world's wealth.
Most transnational corporations today shovel their profits into (no, not capex improvements of their own product / manufacturing output but) *buybacks of their own stock* to artificially boost equity market valuations.
It's all entirely 2026 about making money off of money itself exclusively alone. The Real Economy of goods-services-commodities, a company's own brand product may as well not even exist at all.
None of this has to do with the current Trump 2.0 administration this has been decades in the making; central banks (not heads of state or governments) and by extension their Primary Dealers, the investment banks, control all 160 nations on Earth

Anyone/thing that bought bonds at a lower rate is currently getting fucked in the ass with unrealized losses. The original plan of the incoming adminstration had been >>542286379 to bring U.S. annual gdp growth up into the 6 or 7 percent range which even if achieved (it hasn't been) would only just barely keep the U.S. ahead of Interest Payments on the debt i.e. does absolutely nothing about the $2.5 trillion/year fedgov spending <--of money they don't even have, and *half of which* instantaneously every year goes to Interest Payments aka the credit card bill.
Economist Phillip Patrick remarked last week: "the U.S. national debt is unsolvable," and he and others have long observed that the problem is U.S. Congress spending<--that is what must be curtailed, reduced. For decades the U.S. Congress has been a rubberstamp-machine for ever gigaballooning budgets. Congress holds the purse strings on spending. Interest Payments on the debt now far outstrip annual discretionary spending. We have now attained unprecedented magnitudes.

The United States Treasury is now on the highway to the total default brick wall in four years from now. Why is that a problem that goes far beyond just solely the U.S. fedgov going bankrupt? Because the entire world uses UST and USD as the default reserve denomination. The global debt market is the referendum on confidence in the U.S. Treasury's solvency, the measure of how much the top investors, financial big wheels of all 160 nations 'believe in' the United States.
>>
All of the top 5 US Treasuries holders sold this year $19B to $86B. Norway's sovereign wealth fund is going to unload its $200B. There is no way for the US to have a bond auction and finance the ongoing $2T budget shortfall, end of this year, next year and foreseeable future. Everybody is dumping and nobody will be buying.

They do own the reserve currency, so they can roll the printer and not have the offsetting debt, but it will toilet paper the $USD very quickly.

>>542293564
The simplest thing to do is just bring the interest rate below the growth rate, rather than trying to do it the other way around.

The Federal Reserve and the Treasury are both monopoly operations -- they can set their respective rates and yields wherever they want. There is no market function there.

So just have a ZIRP.
>but then people won't want to buy bonds
Well, the government doesn't need to sell bonds in the first place. Or you could amend the Federal Reserve Act and allow the Fed to purchase bonds on the primary market, directly from the Treasury.

None of this is a real problem except we are plagued with parasitic conservatives who won't stop pretending that the government is the origin of the money unit, not the taxpayer.

This isn't just about equity and asset markets. The global debt market *is what underpins everything*, it is what all wealth today is founded on. The AI massive leveraged bet, is what is presently keeping equity markets—and thus the broad Jim Cramer-tier 'confidence' in and metric of "how good the economy is"—artificially pumped up, but many HNW holders actually are reading the AI tea leaves at the moment and can evidently see AI is not all it is financially cracked up to be. AI is the greatest financial scam in history of civilization and the last cash grab priorto implosion of the global debt market.
Because essentially the entirety of industrial civilization has been powered by globalist Financialized fumes since the 1990s.

Covid was one of the final attempts to goose the failing imploding investment bank debt gigacasino, that began in mid-2019 with the overnight repo market collapse. Almost $1T in direct bailouts from Sept-Dec 2019 and then magically in Jan 2020 along came covid (with never-before-in-human-history global lockdown, another S12 trillion in liquidity to keep the global investment bank gigacasino merrily rolling along)

Right, but the jig is up because alternatives that are more attractive are getting closer to reality and that faith is obviously decreasing due to the de-dollarization. The worlds total debt is something like ~353 trillion and thats huge amount to unwind. I expect chaos and massive revaluations incoming whenever they decide to pull the trigger and close the banks for two weeks. I think these central bankers and other institutions gobbling up all the gold are going to make a killing after all this plays out. Who knows, maybe they will pull zero point energy out of their asses and the aliens will save us, but I doubt it.

this problem can easily be solved tomorrow. you constitutionally limit congressional spending to GDP and then you sell a $40 trillion 100 year bond at 4% interest rate. overnight you disappear the debt and you prevent it from happening in the future. when anyone tells you otherwise they are lying because they ultimately have a vested interest somewhere else aka they want that 6-7% GDP growth to go into their businesses

The problem is, any operations on the bond market are actually known by serious people. You can pump stocks, pay Kramer to hype them and hope Joe Blow 401k buys them. It is hard to fiddle with the bond market and not have those investors know and price in the moves you made.

Everyone knows they are keeping the YEN afloat because Japan owns $1.14T in US treasuries. Everyone knows the US bought its own long bonds with shorties. The US SecTres said he had a $1T bazooka and the market yawned.

>roll the printer
Last time that "worked" was covid 2020.
Nobody is buying the debt now in 2026.
Whenever money is 'printed' by the central bank, a corresponding bond for each single one of those dollars is issued by Treasury. Those bonds have to be bought, there's a bond market. Already explained this ^^^upthread and on the other threadposts crosslinked.
Every time you make a post or snarky joke about 'moneyprinting' remember: That means also, the nation's Treasury issued more bonds that *must be bought*. It's a global debt based economic model.
After covid and since 2019, the world debt issuance/load has increased by one-third (it was already over $255 trillion back then), four times the amount of all global economic output.
Public debt—sovereign debt of governments—in 2026 comprises *ninety-four percent* of the entire global economy; IMF predicts that in three years that reaches one hundred percent. World government soon will owe as muchas the entire global economy produces in 12 months duration. Total debt levels and deficit spendingg of the past 30 years has eclipsed that of the past few centuries of western civilization, and absurdly low and negative interest rate borrowing costs have incentivized national governments to no longer borrow on the the expectation that they will repay, but rather on the expectation that they will refinance.

Prescient panel from December 2019 (immediately prior to covid) encapsulates this:

The interest rates on long bonds are rising become the traditional buyers are disappearing. Pensions used to buy these because they paid out a guaranteed amount every month that would make the pensioners payment. As pensions dissappear the need to buy them is disappearing.

The war isn't helping but the is a permanent result of pensions going out.

Only way I can see them saving the debt market is for them to reevaluated all asset prices to cover all the debt. In that case, would nations with real assets be willing to even buy up all that debt with their "new found wealth" and hold it over everyone elses head? If they did that how much would an ounce of gold cost, a barrel of oil? USA still has a bunch of land to sell off, but not so much invested in finding our own resources. Gonna be real expensive trying to play catch up with what China already has and developed, we also lack icebreakers to compete with those new artic shipping lanes Russia is working on.

Yeah, idk. RE: 'assets' everything is debt, debt-based and -derived now.
Also keep in mind: regarding all the post-1990s Financialized wealth, the vast majority of that is not held or manifested in the Real Economy of goods-services-commodities at all.
It is hidden away in the giga-massive shadow network of eurodollar transactions and accounts:

Japan is so dead that the US treasury had to bail them out at the cost of the Euro in order to get them to stop selling US bonds to defend their own interest issues. Their island is nothing but zombie corps rolling over their own debt at super cheap interest rates. Guess what? Those rates are still rising even after the intervention and their economy is still tanking. The yen carry trade is also closed due to this and so the issue is spreading to other zombie corps across the world.

No it's understandable, and also remember a lot of the eurodollar time-dependent accounts stuff consists of derivatives and speculative instruments, itself.
Nobody—not even the top professional insider financial experts—knows the full magnitude or scope of all the hidden assets in eurodollar transactions/accounts. It's a true unknown, but again back to the topic of Financialization >>542289196: most of the world's economic and $$$$$$$ activity has nothing at all to do with the Real Economy of goods-services-commodities; it is totally walled off from that. To most of the 1%, and especially the Rothschild network <--that are in control of the central banks themselves, the Real Economy may as well not even exist at all, anymore.
This is where the post-1970s Financialized world has fully broken away from the historical timeline of past empires, and even past monetary systems worldwide. It has no corollary or comparison in previous human history or civilization. Yet it is a debt-based economic model and the global debt market is the primary upholding and generating structure for it, the most vulnerable and crucial component.
>>
>>542295849
Selling bonds is a policy choice, a self-imposed constraint. If the only thing a government will accept as payment for the bonds that it issues is its own currency (which is the case) then that currency must exist prior to and independent of bonds being issued. Otherwise how would anyone have money to buy a bond at origin?
>>
>>542295551
The US had to intervene to avoid the BoJ selling US debt on the market and in fact the treasury had to put in place a FIMA repo service as in pic related to avoid massive dumps of US treasuries which would make the US very unhappy.
Thus if you're framing this as the US bailing out or making a favour to Japan you're wrong.

In bankruptcy, all of the unencumbered assets will be found. The utility companies can be sold off, parking meters, toll roads/bridges, government buildings, etc. The USGov still owns 28% of the land in the USA.

My guess is a declaration of force majeure and a full default of foreign debt. You lose all your foreign assets like oil wells, mines, US companies, etc. But, nobody is coming to collect the money when you return the troops home and point the guns outward. You can't participate in global debt markets anymore, but they weren't serving your purposes anyway.

Rebuild the US from the ground up with all sectors represented. No more only service and financial services. You need manufacturing and heavy industry to be rebuilt.

I have yet to see anything defeat the exponential. They tried to disconnect everything from the real economy, but in the case of the yen carry trade breaking down due to resource scarcity, reality reared its ugly head. All they did was build an illusion that is difficult to understand by design and the real currency is faith. Now even the least informed person is feeling the weight of this scam and its become unaffordable to live in the illusion. The system ends when the people start asking too many questions, because they cannot afford to be distracted by the wine and theater. Same toilet, different shit. Sure it looks different, but people still know what it is when the smell gets too bad. I do expect them to ramp up the wars like they always do when it comes to this. Hopefully the average person having access to the internet has seen enough to know who/what is really to blame. People are getting angrier by the day as our governments become more and more irrational and panicked.

>What the fuck does these numbers mean? Our economy is doing better or worse?

It means that foreigners arent recycling their dollarinos into US bonds and stocks. It means that you are in the initial stage of what may develop to a collapse comparable to the 1991 soviet union collapse.

This is because they need the dollars they have to buy oil products and food and they need to sell off or pawn the bonds and securities they have if they dont have enough dollars. So these people are in worse shit than you are but they are also the marks you need to keep the dollar pyramid scheme running. When the dollar scam implodes you will have to pay for all your imports and finance your deficits yourself and the value of the dollar will only be backed by your own production, meaning it will be a fraction of what it is today.

Bankruptcy is a term for people or corporations where you are legally let off your debts by fairly spreading your assets between all your creditors as smaller percentage of what you owe them.

The proper term for where the US is heading will be insolvency. Right now the US is paying $900B in interest on $40T. Based on everyone selling the debt this year and no buyers, the 30yr bond yield (currently 5.25%) will have to settle at 7-9%. At some point you run out of moves to make. If they did try to paper out trillions and buy their own debt the $USD would be worth nothing.

The scary part is, taking into account that nothing ever happens, is this looks to be happening shortly. When they stop paying Boomers social security/medicare/medicaid it is going to get nasty.
