Hardly a novel idea.

This. They’re so incompetent that they have to pay off people from other countries to get new tech
>>
>>542286845
I own and use a Chinese phone, and it's superior to anything the west has put out. Sure its camera isn't the best, but it never will overheat, can crush mobile games, and I can shit post. Iphones and the androids we put out cant even compare
>>

The screen is impressive and a much better form factor than the 4:3 nearly square two panels coming out, I'll give them that. But the rest looks cheap, flimsy and low quality and that octagonal camera sensor set is obtrusive and just really ugly.

Only a fool would not take China seriously.

Apparently you're allowed to just steal shit.
Christians are fucking gay!!

Why do people buy phones with plastic screens that can be permanently damaged by a light press of a fingernail? I don't get it.

The US used currency manipulation to gain its position. The top dog can no longer use these tools. China may have surpassed the US if you account for how much gold china has and relative currency values.
>>
>>542287812
China done well for itself but trying to compare China to the west is just silly. They're just a regional power who modernise. They still have a long way to go.

Folding phones are a bad meme, the fold looks terrible after a month, it's one of these things people buy once as novelty and then never again.

>china ahead on AI and machine learning
Maybe this was true in 2023, but it definitely isn't true right now. The frontier models are all out of the West, and the more economical US models now have cost parity with the top Chinese competitors. We're also further along in alternative architectures like world models.

>china ahead on advanced aircraft engines
Lmao. That row alone brings the entire report into question.

>usa lead in space launch systems is low
Again, lmao. China only started having successful test flights of reusable rockets in the last two months, whereas Starship is nearing the end of its prototyping phase. The gap in space access between partial booster reuse and full, rapid reuse is like the difference between a horse carriage and the Model T.

A lot of the rows are accurate, and most of them are in areas that I don't know enough about to make a judgement, but some of them are clearly out of touch.

because they have no real industry and are equally dependent on China, after decades of cutting their own and outsourcing everything for that extra profit.
>>
Back in the 1980s China was still a third world country. Your own elites basically created China's industry and wealth through their eternal quest for profit. And now the chickens have come home to roost.
