My girlfriend is great but I found out that her dog is part pitbull. She loves the thing, but it's moody and neurotic, and uncontrollably viscious towards children. I don't know what solutions exist apart from rehoming her when we start trying to get pregnant. Is this something I need to discuss with my girl now? If so how do I go about it. Getting rid of your dog is a big ask, but I'm not willing to have my children living in a house with something that wants to kill them. Even if we were to get the dog trained I wouldn't be comfortable knowing it has that instinct deep down.
