could someone find 20+ people willing to live a hunter gatherer lifestyle on an abandoned tropical island forming a tribe with no preparation whatsoever and just tank the consequences of it like our ancestors did, even if it kills them? we dont own the island we squat there. we will fish and cook crabs and eat coconuts etc. it wont be comfy but we are intentionally accepting the consequences because we think its better than living in the system.
>>
>>542310390
>unibomber fantasy nonsense
You live in a dystopia, deal with it.
>>
to be clear, it is not about having a better life, it will not be comfy, fun, or healthy, and you will most likely have nothing, and die. but if you hate the system enough you see those as acceptable trades. beside, if you start dying from it just call the coast card to take you back home, at least you stayed out there 30-60+ days.
>>
>>542310390
You just wanna trick twink anons to go with you so you can rape them
>>
also i think there is a "social media funding" angle to this where a legitimate "tribe" exiling themselves to an island could become popular enough on social media that boats come by to drop us off free supplies and we get social media donations to fund our tribal lifestyle

if that happens, we would be living VERY comfy on that island.

imagine you end up looking like pic related. which could realistically happen. the whole idea is you -accept- it. if you hate your job and the system enough it will be a subjective improvement.

this is a legal house in Bora Bora. a native guy lives there: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1F3JiL-VXho
you can basically build whatever crapshack you want.
the natives are like mexicans or philipino style people.
>>
>>542312933
also only 11,700 people live in Bora Bora. the cheapest restaurants are actually way cheaper than an average american restaurant
>>
>>542310390
it won't work well if they arent related. we are very tribal as we should be.

>could someone find 20+ people willing to live a hunter gatherer lifestyle on an abandoned tropical island
If you knew 20+ people you trusted and would work with you day to day for the long term, would you opt for subsistence living on a deserted island?
Do you think someone in your group might have a better alternative for you?
Maybe the 20+ person in-group is the actual solution.

This man's tropical crapshack is awesome. He built it in 2 weeks on Bora Bora and it is LEGAL. It is just two by fours and metal sheeting. he has a cat and electricity and fridge and all that. what more do you need when it is -literally- 80 degrees ALL YEAR ROUND (i just googled it)
>>
>>542310390
You're describing how most people live on the Virgin Islands.
>>
>>542310390
No. Because if White people did it and knew what they were doing eventually it would become a nice place and then browns would try to swarm into it hence ruining it and destroying the whole project.

holy fuck
i was just about to give you shit about year-round hell-fire temperatures like in southeast asia
i'm gonna have to look into this bora bora situation

after much research i think this is what i would do:
>fly to french polynesia with enough money for (or be willing to steal while there): a kayak, a tent, typical gear, bicycle
>just fucking ILLEGALLY squat on the islands in the various woods and famous hiking trails
>STEAL all the shit you need (mangos, etc, on trees on public or private property who cares)
>fish for other food
>hunt for other food (crabs etc)

when your squatting location is compromised flee the scene to the next one. be willing to ATTACK anyone (even authorities) who would jeopardize your lifestyle if it comes to that
>>
>>542316140
this is all hypothetical btw. not going to do anything, this is theory.
French Polynesia is crawling with rich white tourists meanwhile the natives who live there are kind of like Philipino-tier or some shit, they're fine to be around. you could take advantage of the fact there's rich resorts and tourists everywhere if you are willing to steal their shit for survival purposes.

If you have antibiotics, life should be very easy. You don't know how productive tropical areas + you don't need heat or anything.

Life will only get more and more hellish in the US and Europe as oil dries up and everything gets more expensive. Just by proxy, a person living in a tropical area needs far less to live than one in a temperate one.
>>
Ushuaia is interesting because its about as far away from the influence of countries i hate (USA being the main one) as you can get
>>
>>542317175
Yeah, $500 rent, but Argentina also has one of the lowest minimum wages in South America. How are you going to make money? Remote job? On a remote island???

It's much better doing it in Ecuador.

>High $482 minimum wage
>Probably $200/month rent
>Depending on where you live, will probably be comfortable temps all year around

Won't be "muh white" though.

My girlfriend's from Peru, and rent for a large 1bedroom apartment is like $140/month in urban Lima. I imagine in bumfuck, it's probably like $100/month.
>>
Why though
>>
Don't get why this sort of question makes so many people seethe so hard. I'm pretty much there myself as far as wanting to do something similar. Cannot imagine working for monopoly money for the next 40 years as everything slowly becomes faker and gayer. More dignity in trying it as opposed to participating in this trash heap of a "society" we've got going. Better to die on your feet than live on your knees.

>>
>>542317620
As explained, if you have antibiotics and maybe some other basic drugs, you should be good to go. Life will be much easier than the current scam economy. If you can make a shit shack out of rebar and shit like

>>542314556
Even better. Tropical areas like that are EXTREMELY productive. You will not have a hard time finding food or getting water.

There's a REASON why it was so fucking hard for Euro colonizers to turn Amazonian people into rubber tree wagies.
>>
>>542317620
It's too far. If you can get 20 people together dedicated enough to try this, you could pool your resources and do something legal with modern tech and land you actually own, that would have a chance at lasting.
>>
>>542317175

I wanted to see manchu picchu in Chile and holy crap are the hotels expensive. Obviously its become a hotspot for millionaires. You can book this yacht from Ushuaia to Antarctica for about the same price itd cost for lodging for a 2 week vacation in the Andes.

Yeah, you're talking about Cusco, which is a international tourist hotspot. You can find much more interesting places for cheap.

I remember seeing a video about a Peruvian collective hostal in some Andean town where you could spend the night for $2/day.

Yeah you could. It would never work though. The kinds of people who would be interested in this kind of thing are fucking psychos and would bail at a moment's notice or smash up your shit for imagined slights the second anything starts to get tough. I'd unironically rather do 10 years in prison than try to tardwrangle a bunch of hippy adjacent primitivist dipshits and have to look over my shoulder 24hrs a day.

Smoke helps to drive away insects.
If you're a neet and have some woods nearby, go out and practice shack-building. It's fun and you can listen to a podcast or book on tape or whatever when you do it. You'd be surprised how well your first effort goes, I believe it's human instinct to create shelter out of woods debris.
>>
>>542310390
I live just like that right now and once you adjust to be wet and salty, it is quite comfey. You can do this by yourself anon, it is just lonely, but even that becomes a feature over time.
>>
>>542318291
There are vast areas of coastal wilderness in the USA. You can't see it from land, because you get locked into the road system and that distorts your view.
>>
>>542318868
>it's human instinct to create shelter out of woods debris

Yeah, but your not allowed to permanently live like that anon! You got to get a job that drains you of energy and you got to pay taxes anon and make some Boomer rich so that HE can fish on a tropical island, not you!
>>
>>542318868
I nearly lived in a woods as a kid. Built a decent fort and it lasted long enough to become the place to drink during high-school. I had a work buddy who got Lyme disease that progressed to ALS and it just left me paranoid of tics. Nevermind the lonestar tic nonsense. They're rare in Ushuaia.
>>
>>542319069
>You can't see it from land, because you get locked into the road system and that distorts your view.

And how do you get resources anon? The US is temperate and cold and the islands are probably rocky or extremely prone to flooding. Not going to be like the South Pacific at all.

Surviving in a temperate climate is much harder.
>>
>>542310390
