There is no affordability crisis

It’s a laziness crisis
>>
>>542332394
you're definitely not getting all of that for 5.43
also oven fries suck
also where's the drink?
>>
>>542332394
im only taking the meat and onions thank you
>>
>>542332394

Yeah maybe in 2007 you dumb fuck

That combo was $5 five years ago.

You could probably make 4-6 burgers with what's on the left if you did a 1:1 with the mcdicks.

Even it being AI slop, the easiest social IQ test is to ask people situations like this and see their response.

>oh yeah eating in and healthy is like so expensive
RETARD ALERT
>yeah you can make a lot more food for a few days
continue interacting with this person
>>
>>542332394
Maybe if you still make the burgers 1/10 of a lb like the mcdonalds burger but otherwise if you make them any decent size you're getting 4-5 burgers out of 1 lb of meat. If you're only getting 4 burgers out of that then the price is way higher than $5.43 per burger. The beef alone is like $8 per lb.
>>
>>542332394
I stopped buying pancake mix and now i make pancakes from scratch. It will probably save me $20 per month.

No.

Those fried fucking suck but then so do Mac Dornald
>>
>>542332704
>The beef alone is like $8 per lb.
so a 1/4 pound burger would start at 2 dollars... you can EASILY get the rest for 3 bucks per serving if you don't buy all brand name shit.

Cooking makes no economical sense.
You're driving 45 minutes, multiple times a week, to spend 20 minutes at the store. You go home and spend an hour prepping, cooking, and cleaning.

You're basically saying that you're worth less than $10 an hour

why can you never make home burgers taste like mcdonalds
what chemicals are they putting in there
>>
>>542332441
You can fry French fries at home, it’s just time consuming if you want them perfect.

Heat peanut oil to 325°
Fry them for about 6 minutes; do not let them brown
Drain the fries and let them rest for 20 minutes
Heat the oil again, this time to 400°
Toss in the fries for 3 minutes

Here you can buy really good burger patties at Farmboy that are already seasoned and have cheese and herbs in the mix. They're ~$8 for two big thicc patties so you can make two really good burgers with like $12 of ingredients so it's still kinda pricey but it's a real burger so you're full after eating just one - perfect for sharing with someone.

Food is gonna get so expensive next year when all the thirdies start starving and dying off from all the climate shit plus all the wars. You third world poors are so fucked LMAO
>>
>>542332441
>8 burgers is more expensive per burger than a slop one from McShits
This is why you are poor
>>
>>542332818
I know how to make them at home. like you said it's a pain in the ass
you're better off just getting potato chips, or some other side
>>
what's the total of the ingredients out the door and how many meals can you make with them? probably still healthier than mac dicks regardless
>>
>>542332950
what kind of fat ass is eating 8 burgers in one sitting? you do realize the vegetables don't keep right? you have to use them all in a few days or they go bad

>Just make it at home. It's cheaper and healthier!
I occasionally want a Big Mac. I don't want something healthier and homemade. You can't replicate the taste of a McDonald's burger at home. Even the fact that you didn't have to prep and cook it makes it taste different.

you lying ass piece of shit I work at a grocery store 5.43 wouldn't even cover the meat let alone the rest of that shit. the shit on the right is over 20$ the advantage is does have is making more than one burger but this photo is some false advertising for how the inflation currently is

Sadly, most Americans under the age of 40 are too stupid to operate a kitchen stove. Anything more complicated than boiling water is above their paygrade. You think I'm joking but I'm dead serious. They are totally confused by the idea of cooking & preparing food. It's like magic to them, which is part of the reason services like doordash & ubereats are so popular. hen they go grocery shopping they are buying microwave prepackaged stuff and soda.. 70% of their meals come from delivery services.

All of you are massively gay.
Get an air fryer and find the right brand of fries. Some are oily enough right out the bag that your fries come out perfect. Then toast the buns in the residue/aroma
>>542333017
>>I wont use basic veggies to cook anything else, even other types of slop
How?

You can make Big Mac sauce by mixing mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and relish. 1 part mayo, one half-part mustard and ketchup each, and a quarter-part of relish.

Nobody says you have to bake "oven fries" inthe oven. If you want them to taste like "real fries" put an inch on cooking oil in a pot and drop the fries in. let cook for 5 minutes and then place on a plate w/ paper towels to remove excess oil. Viola, french fries!

Mass production is more efficient, as wild as that claim seems on the face of it. The health deletion and petrochemically derived nature of modern mass produced food is completely voluntary. As is the profiteering.

the secret is the OVEN
mcdonalds food is always hot when you order it. when you make hamburgers yourself they cool as you assemble them. the trick is to make your burger, then wrap it in foil then stick it in the oven for a minute or so. once your fries are ready the burger will be hot and delicious like fast food

Both got more expensive, you idiot.

The resturaunts got more expensive.
The raw ingredients got more expensive.
That's called INFLATION, and it doesn't go away when you stop eating out, you stupid, subhuman filth.

You idiots have destroyed the economy, and as things stand, you're worried more about denying the problem than fixing it, which is gonna make everything SO MUCH WORSE.

~$17 to get everything, divide by 4 (quarter pound beef burgers) comes out to about $4.25 per meal, fries included.
>>
>>542332394
Well I don't think anybody should be eating fast food, that pink slime meat that artificial cheese the preservative filled potatoes with seed oil instead of peanut oil and the fake bread is not much better.

Also this is the same fucking dumb argument of buying it to do it yourself. You don't buy an alignment machine if you need alignments. McDonald's already has the infrastructure in place to make this a certain way you do not.

For the retards who can't understand this imagine buying a copper plumbing ProPress tool in order to do the job once or twice? Exactly.

For the retards out there who cannot comprehend unit costs ..

...at $5.43 per calculated meal equivalent, homemade cuts the per-meal price by nearly 64%.

... buying the grocery list yields enough ingredients to make 4 complete quarter pound cheeseburger ... Or for you metric fags..Royale with cheese....meals with fries, compared to 1 single combo from the mickie D's bag....

Furthermore... One could hypothetically spend around $21.72 USD to create 4 meals ... Until next time
