And Ford did defend the commissions findings, but it was obviously being tailored by Warren and the "deep state" for lack of a better word. From my personal research, I don't think he was a bad guy, and he did sign into law the Church Committee, which publicly criticized the Warren Commission's findings and exposed much of the other illegal activities of the intelligence agencies.
