How does pol feel about Texas Germans before, during, and after the two great wars. The language of Texas German is dying being replaced, currently, by Mexican. Many Texas Germans were told that being German was wrong during the wars. Especially during the rise of the Nazis. Thoughts?

My great grandmother didn't teach her children German because she thought it was useless in an English speaking country. They all considered themselves Americans once they settled.
