East Asia is dying. In 2100 there will be no Asia, just a shriveled husk of what once was. The demographic decline may already be cemented. Births have been too low for too long. What a shame it will be, to see this respectable civilization falter further and further!

China has a population of 1.4 billion I’m sure they will be alright. They can import Indonesians and phillipino if they really need it

People wax flimic about time travel and appearing in the future... Yet, never is that future world depicted as being a negrified planet like Wakanda or Mogadishu -- the most 'realistic' outcomes.

>fantastical and probable, respectively

It is cemented. But you won't be alive by 2100 so why the fuck do you even care.

Chinese births dropped the same percent from 2023-2025 as White American births did from 2016-2026. Pack it up, it's over.

Still like 8 million births. Life isn’t just about meaningless breeding we aren’t niggers

Would be fine if their birthrate immediately stabilized at 2.1 when those children reached adulthood, but is that going to happen? In the US we've done it before, namely when interest rates dropped over the decades from 1975-2005. We can make housing affordable through immigration restriction, and we've seen births stabilize in 2025. Does China have any realistic path to reversing their fertility rate woes?

the only reason this is even an issue is because of pension systems.
if old fucks were expected to take care of themselves (or have a family that supports them) instead of cruising on benefits for another 20 years, this would be of little relevance.

What are old people that don’t have kids saving up for isn’t the main reason you don’t breed to save money. If you don’t breed or save money you it should not be expected that the state pays for you

They don't though. Chinese officials have been fudging population states for decades. The One Child Policy has been a demographic disaster for China. At most China has about 850 million people and most of those people are over 45 years old. China's population is top heavy with elderly people and there simply aren't enough young people and their birth rates has fallen off a cliff.

China's population during the worst time in the country's history, the century of humiliation was only 400-500 million, less than half of what it is today.
And that was with millions of people getting killed in wars, dying of starvation and diseases.
