Honestly we should have dealt with the houthis first before even contemplating Iran itself, like do a joint ground campaign with the Saudis and non-Houthi Yemenis. Not as dangerous an enemy and more of an escalation of a conflict we had already been on and off with for a few years just wrapping it up. Hindsight is way fucking 20/20 on this all of course. It would not have been a super popular campaign but would have gone over much better than what we have now and would actually be winnable.
