I was at middle school in 7th grade, they weren't really telling us much so we were all confused. My reading teacher gave us a short run down on how planes crashed into the twin towers in New York but didn't really elaborate on it being an attack and kind of framed it as a general tragedy instead of terrorism. Then there was news that another plane went down in a field about an hour away from us and they sent us home early and told us to wait for our parents before turning the TV on. So naturally we all went home and immediately turned the TV on. It was pretty surreal to see something like that on the news. Seeing all the different angles of the 2nd plane hitting was wild.
