it the 25th anniversary. We all live different lives and were at different places at the of the event. what was your experience like?
We were homeschooled and our dad literally rushed home from work to turn on the TV. We watched the 2nd plane hit live
I was 13 and skipped school that day. I was about to blow a load to that talkshow host milf(for zoomers: you had to fap to tv or wait 10 minutes for an image to load on dial-up back then)when the news broke. I was sitting there with an erection and all there was on the tv was some burning towers in America. Fucking Americans, they ruined my fapping session. I despise them since that day
i worked in a restaurant in a hotel near a UK military base. there was a american guy staying in the hotel and he could only have been a glowie visiting the base. he came in for dinner on 9/11 and sat down, ordered a drink and food as soon as he sat down as he had also been there the day before. he then switched on his phone. he got a message and that was him finding out about 9/11 at 6pm uk time. i found it odd he hadn't knew sooner, but he just said he had to go and checked out and left.
I was asleep on the couch in my apartment. My friend George called me losing his shit. All i got was "turn the fucking TV on!!!" before he hung up. I turned the TV on and watched the second plane hit. I called work and asked if we were open. We were. New York might as well have been on another planet. The lives of a bunch of new Yorkers were entirely meaningless. I went in to work and played Mechwarrior with the interns.

I was 12 in 7th grade. We heard rumors of a bombing or something in New York all morning but the teachers were quiet about it and wouldn't really talk about it if someone asked. Class did get briefly interrupted for the teachers to whisper talk with someone I remember. Then after lunch period our teachers read official statements from admin that told us that planes had flown into the WTC towers and a bunch of people had died but they didn't quite frame it as an attack yet. Then they sent us home early and I was glued to the TV watching angle after angle after angle of the south tower being hit on the news. It was wild seeing something that cinematic and heavy actually happening for real on the news. I'll always associate that day with that weird chirping siren noise that firefighter gear makes (the WEEEEEoooweeooo WEEEEoooweeooo one) because the news station I was watching kept showing firefighters' bodycam footage and it was all you heard during it.
