Has AI actually replaced people? In which job markets?
>>
It's been used as an excuse to lay people off.
The economy is fake and gay anyway.
>>
it doesn't have to replace people entirely, it just needs to make certain jobs easy enough so that it can be outsourced to a jeet in india who works for $1 a day.
>>

AI doesn't replace anyone, it just does better work 100x faster and orders of magnitude cheaper than a single person can do.
>>

AI has replaced those with artistic talent with techno artist who can't draw worth shit but can make LORAs and describe in words what they want. They're like movie directors who drop acid and can explain in words what they see and do technical shit.
>>
>>542423886
No no not yet still have 5 years to go
>>
really, AI can't replace people. It needs people to mimic.
AI isn't original, it needs people to imitate and acid heads to tell the AI what to make.

Its a good search engine on goyggle and can call up on mathematical physic formula equations for retarded people that cant check

>Has AI actually replaced people?
yes
>In which job markets?
I wouldn't call them "jobs", but some are markets.
>>

Earlier this year I was in school with a guy who was a software developer for 10 years who said he got laid off because of AI
>>
I am a senior developer
It has completely replaced junior devs, and is helping increase productivity, meaning we need less experienced devs
It's pretty scary really
>>
>>542423886
This is the year that morning drive radio died
Streaming hasn't replaced it though, there is less to listen to than ever
>>
>>542424265
That's hard. Imagine all the people studying computer science since the early 90s. That was a major career path. And now most of them arent needed. The most ironic piece is that most of the software developers helped create apps which made software developers less important
>>
>>542423886
Look at tech layoffs
>>
It makes finding a job 1000x more difficult.

Yeah women have and they’re all artificial
>>
>>542423886
Lots of people itt with no real experience with AI for useful work.
>>
>>542424315
>there are still people who don't just full up a flash drive with whatever they want on soulseek and listen to that in the car
why
>>
>>542423886
All technology kills jobs but creates more jobs, there’s no difference between AI and the light bulb.

Work is a market good like any other, it is subject to marginal utility, the more of it you have the more uses for it there becomes. Classic example is with 1 orange you can eat an orange with 3 oranges you can have a glass of juice with 10000 oranges you can make vitamin c supplements. Nobody knows what the new jobs will be, that’s for the entrepreneurs to find and get rich in the process.

Yea and get this the guys wife died so he couldn't finish the semester he was deff getting kicked while he was down.
>>
>>542424114
zoom out
>>
>>542423886
No. Companies have been laying off workers to free up capital to invest in AI then AI companies turn around and run a marketing campaign that such and such company laid off 50 workers due to AI.
>>
>>542424294
The counterpoint would be the freed up devs can now start more businesses.

Technology is supposed to assist human flourishing
Judging that it's OK to let what a person studies/trains at for a decade become random lottery which may become completely obsolete is antithetical to human flourishing

name a more Jewish ideology than libertarianism/ancap
>>
>>542424764
No! Guns for example put bullets in human heads. Technology is a weapon and an element of human warfare. It assists in humans flourishing at the expense of their enemies.
True it helps us to overcome nature, but our primary threats are human threats, and overcoming them is the most important thing.
>>
>>542424764
Technology is not supposed to do anything but clear the market, go enjoy the labor theory of value where your crystallized labor hours into your education entitle you to pay, hope that works out for you. The truth is you made a bad decision and took a loss, there is nothing moral about forcing others to pay for your mistakes. You think everyone is like you? You think everyone is going to fail? You think it’s not your fault? You’re just unlucky? You think you had a bad upbringing? Not the right skin color? Not tall enough? You just let the fact that it was difficult make you give up and you want to talk about human flourishing? No one is more sensitive to economic struggles than me but I understand the deeper economic problems beyond “everything should be the way I want”.

Coding was just a means to an end for me so LLMs just boosted my productivity. Anyone else?
>>
>>542425563
So only the junior lackies?
>>
Bump
>>
>>542423886
I used to get paid to play vidya and help boomers and kids install their games, then ai came and they outsourced it to jeets, I'll admit it was not a high bar but I'm still mad as that was one of the most comfy jobs I ever had, a comfort india doesn't deserve.
