You have no idea what the facts of the case are beyond the fact that she's murdered her children, and the manner in which she murdered her children is vicious and premeditated. Most people need to be in a state of insanity to kill another person, that's irrelevant. Most people aren't capable of killing another person without being in an altered state, whether that's rage, or completely possessed by jealousy, or envy, or some other emotional state that shuts down the forebrain just enough that you're capable of crossing that line out of impulse. So that's all really irrelevant.She strangled her kids with exercise bands. It takes 4-5 minutes of prolonged pressure to affect brain death using strangulation/asphyxiation. This was not a heat of the moment/uncontrollable act. This was something that took 3-5 minutes PER child. And she had to keep choking even after the bodies went limp because generally speaking the body goes limp before the body ceases to be able to resume breathing which takes 2-3 minutes. She had to hold the bands around the children long enough for brain death, otherwise they may have started breathing again after the pressure was removed.A person who is not "in their right mind" isn't thinking about this. They're thinking "I must hurt" "I must kill" and then they would choke the kids until they appeared dead, much shorter than it takes to actually kill someone this way. A person outside of rational control also likely would not even use this method. They would probably use blunt weapons, like a bat to bash the children's heads in, or a knife to cut/dismember the children.She did this on purpose.
