Also, like said earlier, some people simply were walking toward what they thought was just clear air and kept walking forward right out of the building. The "pregnant woman" is an example of this. I believe in the footage shot from the reporter husband wife couple in the Hilton or Marriot across the way, they captured her final moments. She's walking with her hand out, thinking if there's something she'd smack into she's feel it before, but all she did was walk right out of the building. You can see her recoil, because she never meant to jump or leave otherwise, and then she just falls. It's almost like a cartoon because she's just standing there for a second in the air, and then.... Another one is the guy who tried to climb down the side of the building, who was sort of doing it for a bit, but just lost his footing or got too tired and fell. The ironic thing was that if he had managed to hold on, not much further down from where he was the windows were blown out and if he could have fallen in (which would have been pretty hard, and he likely still would have fallen), he could have gotten to a stairwell and got out, but he didn't. And of course some just jumped and it's because they were suffocating and burning up and I think people genuinely thought "I'd rather jump than slowly burn to death or suffocate." When you jump, it's just over. (Except for the lady who was basically half a torso and kept screaming "I'm not dead" at the paramedic, who knew there was no saving her and put the dead tag on her.
