All the top 5 US treasury holders sold this year. Nobody is going to buy the debt and finance the deficit spending anymore. The yield on the 30yr bond is at its highest rate in 25 years. More bad news last week had Norway indicating they are dumping their $200B in US debt.It isn't a case of Trump being fiscally responsible. There is nobody on earth left that will grant the US more credit. Expect US mortgages to get very expensive and expect austerity measures to be announced after the midterms. Something has to go and it won't be the defense budget. Social security and Medicare/Medicaid are going to get the axe.
