Sometimes I sit back and ponder on this question. Would anyone in say, 1938, think that they about the enter a world war? Sure, Japan attacked China and Hitler seized Czechoslovakia but come on. World war? Don't be silly. There's so many weird inverses on the order though, China is actually very reminiscent of America post-WWII economically, industrially powerful and growing. America is like the gay version of the Soviet Union, doing an invasion of desert Finland aka Iran. The Houth(is) is loose and soon both chokepoints could be closed. The way America is fighting the war also makes me think of the Russo-Japanese war. The Russians coming in confident, arrogant, and boastful only to be delivered a smackdown. It'd be easy to say Russia as Nazi Germany like a redditor but let's be fair, it isn't. It's way too gay for that. They're instead proud anti-fascist fighting the Nazis in Ukraine who fight for a...Jew? Right. I guess there isn't an easy WWII analog for them. My prediction on the next phase is escalation. If the U.S. gets a few carriers sunk it would be out of commission on patrolling waters or ground invasions. And just look at pictures of those rust cans, my God, I can just hear the cackling. A perfect, almost picturesque end of an empire. Docking to bed down sluts in Pattaya, the fat wives of soldiers calling frantically, the rust can of dying empire shambles to its' inexorable end. But hey, at least you can bet on the outcome now, so there's that.
