Do you have any advice for us younger posters? what is the world like today for you compared to the past? My dad died a couple years back and he had mentioned either the 70s or 80s being way better. he also said that the pendulum would swing back and things would improve and I hope he’s right. Wish I asked him more about the world when I had the chance.

The amount of rights we've had quietly removed is troubling, and the government has become comfortable with openly lying to us. When you fall down don't take too much time getting back up. Be aware of your surroundings and don't let other peoples competitiveness break you down. We live in a hyper-competitive society. Which leads to many forms of twisted bitch-like behavior (slander, gossip). Stay learning and growing but always be productive while learning. Get your to-do-list notepad and stay focused. Don't waste anytime finding a woman. Don't think you have plently of time left. You will be 50 yourself in what will seem like 5 years when you get there. Watch The Money Masters documentary to learn about how money and our financial system functions and the history behind it.
Motivation will get you started in anything but habit will keep you going. Build habits.Keep a notepad near your desk and write down jobs, things you might like to do, etc, and cross a few off each week. People saying don't sweat the small stuff are idiots, learn how to cope with the small stuff lodging itself in your brain. Spend money on crap sometimes and take the odd risk - I have a reasonably priced origami habit because I saw some shiny papers once. Cooking is easy, just make a tupperware container of food once a week and reheat as necessary- diced meat, vegetables/beans, rice/pasta, some sauce you like, cook the meat in a saucepan with the lid on, add the vegetables, stir, steam, add sauce, add the rice or pasta you cooked on another burner, stir through, there's a pile of meals done. Count your calories, it's an easy habit. Swing for 2000 or so. Get some exercise and take care of your back. And feet. And knees. Most people are going to think you're weird - observe, learn to fake it and fit in. Your life will be easier, and set your appearance up to be clean cut if possible. People won't accept normal you, build a little bank of normie things to say. I'm not actually an autist, this post aside, I'm just fucking weird. Women aren't worth it, learn to accept being alone, but if you're hot enough you can fuck them anyway. It gets boring after a while.Find a job you can tolerate. I do nursing and followed it around the world for a bit, before that, when I was younger, I travelled a lot for work. Track down a skill, doesn't matter what. Happiness is being able to buy what you like at the shops or on amazon without considering your bank account balance. Don't trust people - personal disclosure isn't building a connection, it's a vulnerability. Learn a language, any language. Learn old church slavonic, just build a habit of learning something.

You become who you hang around. Also dont overspend money. Save and put a lot of it into an index fund (S&P500)Be careful on how you spend money because money flies if you do Starbucks and stuff.Also drive a car like a Toyota that has little and low maintenance. I never really say this but a $30k Toyota (fairly new one non turbo), is not a bad way to spend money. You will also have a car that can take you from A to B in case things happen and you have to go somewhere.Dont overspend on women or jump on relationships fast. These things are the biggest mistakes I think you can do. If you find a girl, make sure she has good and normal values and not someone who is all about herself (most of them are).But the most important thing is to be careful with money and how you spend it, and who you surround yourself with.

The friends that become my friends are always the best people within that area, time and environment. But personally I feel I experience and continue to experience more than the average person. Therefore, my perspective is probally less common than the average.
