>>542455611Not really. SPR is a small subset of the total US stockpile. Oil companies, refiners, and thousands other entities have stockpiles of their own distributed throughout the country. Total petroleum product stockpiles in the US are over 1.5 billion barrels right now. EIA publishes this data weekly. Meanwhile US domestic oil production is on track for a record high. Also oil prices today are still like 30% lower than they were for much of the 2010s if you adjust for inflation so calling this an unprecedented crisis is pretty ridiculous hyperbole if you actually consider the full picture. For poor countries it's gonna suck but for the average American higher gas prices are probably costing them less per month than their Netflix subscription.
