Trump just said Iran-backed Houthis contacted him asking not to be targeted, stating they "dont want to fight with us" and prefer the US stay uninvolved in their ops against Saudis. Trump said that Houthis promised to not target US ships, so he decided that attacking Houthis is a bad idea. He made the remarks today in Dublin while meeting Irish Prime Minister Micheal Martin, amid escalating Houthi-Saudi clashes heightening Middle East tensions.

Saudis can fight their wars on their own if they can. They have like 230 F-15 fighter jets (biggest operator outside States), thousands tanks etc - they should use them instead of begging for protection.
