I went to Krakow around 10 years ago with my 2 best mates and had a mythical experience.Late January. Snowing. It was our second night there and we had been drinking in a bar mleczny where the pints and shots cost the equivalent of 1 euro. By 12am i was completely fucked and decided to do my usual irish goodbye and disappear back to the airbnb.I quickly got lost and found myself stumbling down snow blanketed orange lit medieval alleyways. Eventually i found the sheltered doorway of a church and decided to lie down and sleep. I was awoken by someone shaking my shoulder. A soft womans voice "wake up. you can't sleep here. its too cold"I opened my eyes and it was a nun. A young and stunningly beautiful nun. Radiant blue eyes. Perfect skin. A real angel.Turned out i was sleeping on the doorstep of some kind of monastery. She took me into some office, made me a hot drink, and after literally taking my phone off me to find out where my airbnb she arranged a taxi to take me there.
