You can get a DUI for caffeine and prescriptions in the US and sometimes even while being sober

Who the fuck is making these rules?
>>
You can get pretty fucking zooted off of too much caffeine, especially if you're taking it in pill or powder form
>>
>>542499413
Powdered caffeine is a controlled substance now
>>
>>542499326
Nope being on drugs makes you "no guilty by reason of insanity"

Holy shit nigger. powdered caffeine? two grams of powdered caffeine might kill someone.
>>
>>542499326
If you're fucked up, however you got fucked up, take an Uber. A lot of people are fucked up, then take a fuckton of caffeine, then are twice as fucked up as they were originally. If you're fucked up and it turns out it was just caffeine, chances are you will not be prosecuted, your punishment is simply the 2 days you spent in jail. This is just how it works, for better or worse. In theory there could be a better system but I'm fairly certain I won't live to see it. If anything we're backsliding hard.
>>
>>542499326
You are cattle, it's not about rules. It's about what the farmer feels like today.
>>
>>542499326
Just arm-up and stand your ground.
>>
>>542499326
If you have a prescription that says do not use heavy machinery and then you do I'm glad you get punished.
>>
>>542499326
If you are driving impaired, it doesn't matter if you are on drugs, just old and retarded, or plain old tired, you can't be on the road, This shouldn't be news to you.
>>

I still drink 6 energy drinks every morning and drive because it doesn't say I can't operate heavy machinery if I use it.
>>
>>542499900
They _might_ let you out at dawn. They can hold you for 71 hours if they want. In fact, if you did something minor (fistfight with some guy who threw a beer at you, etc) and get thrown in the can going past 48 hours, chances are almost 100% they are going to release you without charge but want to make it "hurt".

No, I'm just not scared of actual mean drunks.
>>
>>542499326
>and prescriptions
Well yeah, that's how the law works most countries. Just because you need the medicine for a health condition doesn't mean you can drive on it.
>>
>>542500337
why would you be scared? theyre slow as fuck.
>>
>>542500366

I've never heard of someone catching a DUI for prescription benzos or SSRIs
>>
>>542500411
so be happy and the sheriff lets you out at dawn. no need to spend a weekendnat the end of a light night of drinking and slap fighting.
>>
>>542499413
I tried caffeine pills as a convenient alternative to drink mixes and it didn't really boost my energy level at all, but it did make me shaky and nauseous for hours.
>>
>>542500479
sorry ssris means you get away with murder these days
>>
>>542499488
Holy shit thank god finally. I had a plan to buy some back in college and I would have just tossed some in my protein shake and not thought about it. Don't know why I didn't. Years later I saw a tablespoon would have been fatal. Dodged a bullet there.
>>
>>542500479
That's not to say it's never happened, but I don't know anyone personally who is out of their gourd on psych meds and been arrested for a DUI over it.

Cops couldn't prove I was high (I was sober)
So they gave me a, "Driving with detectable amount of restricted controlled substance"
What substance was detected?
GOOD FUCKING QUESTION
My hired attorney was unable to do SQUAT about it.
Lost my license for a year.
Rode the bus to university and work

just the equivalent of caffeine pills dissolved or crushed up?
Caffiene bros correct me?
>>
>>542500498
That is at their discretion. It can be in 3 minutes, or it can be 71.9 hours. It just has to be before 72 hours. The longer you're there, the more certain you will not be charged. All kinds of things can go wrong going from county to and from the courthouse, and since they have a 72 hour clock, they need some slack in case of car accidents, safety threats, earthquakes, floods, tornados, whatever. If they know it doesn't matter it just depends on some guy somewhere thinking you've had enough, or that it turns out the "other guy" really was a bad guy and you're not, and need to be showered and at work in 16 hours, etc. I'm just telling you how it really works.
>>
>>542500698

I'm already dead anyhow.
Who cares.
>>
>>542500785
same. they fucking hate it when youre happy and so they kick you the fuck out at dawn, especially if there are other penitents in there. light drinking and slap fighting is not as criminal as calling your sheriff a cute fattie at 5am to gtfo.

if you look at energy drank it says "200 mg of caffeine" or whatever. That's 1/5th of a gram which is tiny. Of course little miss Starbucks treats those caffeine shakes life meal replacements and she can a whole gram every day somehow and still feel tired.
Pre-workout is loaded with powdered caffeine and that shit has a giant warning label.
You people think about the stuff you eat or drink right? Contaminants? Additives?

If youre such a bad driver that you get pulled over while sober or after drinking some coffee, you should not be on the road at all. And just because your drugs are made prescribed by some jewish shrink and sold by some jewish corporation, doesn't mean that they are much different than street drugs of the same class, in fact, prescription drugs are typically far stronger since they have a higher purity. Im guessing all the godawful drivers I see everyday are on a cocktail of antipsychotics and/or benzos or opiates, and of course weed. TLDR, you geriatric fucks should be thankful that acquiring and keeping a license is so easy in this country. And that flock cameras aren't being used to issue traffic citations.
