The United States will never be a socialist country, because you cannot have socialism on stolen land. What does this mean? The disposal and stewardship of the land and resources therein rightfully belongs to the Indigenous nations from which it was stolen. The descendants of European settlers are rightfully considered the descendants of invaders. These invaders then brought my people here to work for them on the land they stole. Allowing invaders to decide what happens to the land is like allowing someone who robs you to offer you financial advice. These two contradictions, stolen land and stolen labor, are the primary ones, around which all others in this country ultimately revolve. The Indigenous will get their land, and my people will hold this country to account for slavery and the aftermath. The revolution in this country will be around these two contradictions, and the country will no longer be the United States, because these contradictions are antagonistic and will destroy it. The states that come out of what was once the United States will definitely be socialist. What will happen to the descendants of the invaders? That’s up to the colonized. They certainly won’t be leading any Communist revolution, because history has shown us that settlers cannot make any revolution besides a fascist one, communism means giving up the land they stole and that’s not going to happen voluntarily. They’ll go for socdem reforms but not revolution en masse. My guess is that their numbers will already be diminished by the violence of the revolutionary process because they will insist on fighting it and suffer the fate of all counterrevolutionaries, many will flee, and some will fight for revolution because they see the writing on the wall and know it’s right.
