A combination of higher food prices and tarrifs on US ag products and commodities would be a net positive for the US. Grocery prices, like most headline political issues, is the retard distraction. The issue is fundamental costs like home prices and over engineered, unreliable, extremely expensive automobiles. And old people spending down inheritance. I would have less blame for a boomer who spent down inheritance if they legitimately amassed it themselves and recieved nothing from their parents. However, many boomers recieved substantial assets- land, houses, funds etc. from their parents within the last 20 years or so. That is a much different situation and it is lost on boomers.
