>>542757837Fascinating, I cannot say I've heard of that edition before. That said, I cannot fault you for not fancying people's effort posts. Admittedly, I have not been privy to really any on here before. Much on the time, it is just juvenile drivel. Nevertheless, while I am no longer a man of the cloth, I respect that you're devoting your mental space to something that should be cultivating you. Interesting other reads though, theology has always been my weak spot. I wanted to go more, when I was younger, but I just never had the mind to devote myself to it. My lack of full devotion, as well, I found to be troubling, due to it developing incongruent lines of thinking..Regardless, as for things I've been reading, currently, I'm going back through Reflections On Violence by Georges Sorel, thusfar, I'm honestly not too.. inspired? I need to finish it, I got some 80 pages to go but it has largely just been rambling about contemporary Socialist politics in France just shy of WW1. Outside of that, I'm aiming to do a deeper dive into other Syndicalist movements from both sides in Spain. So I plan on reading about the CNT/FAI but also the JONS. Conquest Of The State finally got translated, so I'm hyped to read it.
>>542758125Yeah, I miss /sg/. I use to browse since about 2015. The reclamation of the country was truly a spectacle to watch in real time.I figured Iran would eventually get it's own thing. Tbh, after the fall of Syria, I just overall stopped caring about the Axis, unpopular opinion but I feel like they all literally just killed themselves and I dunno. They all wanted shares of Syria anyway. I have more I can commentate on Russia but eh. That conflict is another can of worms that I'm rather indifferent on. I did lose someone close to me in Ukraine though, tragically.

>>542758440by glorified effort posts I meant book, lol I feel like you might actually be in a similar spot as I was to be honest, I could no longer pretend to care about things like "rambling about contemporary Socialist politics in France just shy of WW1", it felt like every fiber of my being rejected being fed such pointless nonsense I also couldn't bring myself to read theological works before fully devoting myself to the faith this makes me wonder what's standing in your way there because it sounds like you've eyed it before and have come very close - what gives?

It's bizarre watching the stuff online and having some stake in things then having it become personal. Overall, this Russo-Ukraine conflict has just been a somber one for me, even despite such. I feel like it was an overall dumb play by Russia that just ruined a real lot. There was a paradigm shift there and now we have nothing but broken communities everywhere, new attitudes, and overall loss of young life for really nothing.>Iran is a continuation of Syria, really, I mean, I'd figure that much. I've grown pessimistic and my conclusive thoughts have been that Iran will continue to just slap Israel periodically, while barking, then inevitably die as it has been. I don't really see it escalating into WW3.>If I'm being honest and contemplative, what bothers me most about this board is its lack of seriousness. many people here see the world is unraveling but very few people seem to want to do anything meaningful about it.It is things of that nature that turned off of the site. It's just overall unserious and full of nonsense. It's hard to get real discussions, let alone, people motivated to meaningfully do anything and try and shoot for change. >>542759094I'm getting works by Lenin soon (What Is To Be Done?, State And Revolution), and I am currently dipping my toes into reading on various Anarchist/Syndicalist movements. That said, I'm not really adherent to any one ideology. I'm generally a Syndicalist of a more National variety but you'd prolly confuse me as a LeftCom, had we engaged seriously.Fascism was just a long studied part of my education over the passed decade but as were other ideologies as well.
>>542758845filters are not new, in the catalog I mean. I've been here forever, I don't have the desire to constantly argue social issues anymore. I did that in my 20s - abortion, women, gays, racism, ecelebs, party politics, trump, and any number of other threads I've seen hundreds of times before.I am mostly here for news, largely geopolitics/war. but every once in a while you see a compelling/interesting thread still. I will still comment on social issues too if a thread makes it through my filter, but I mostly just hit and run, make a post and close the thread. in earlier years I would spend hours arguing with people and it's largely just a waste of time and getting riled up and it's not worth it. most people don't change their minds. sure the truth is important, even against stubborn or dishonest people it has power, but ultimately culture changes due to greater forces/events at work, time conditions, and I have obligations in the real world, I can't just be fucking around arguing on the internet all day anymore
>>542758969That is honestly tragic, given I seen this place way before such. Feels like a corpse not realizing it is dead yet, in that respect.>>542758800>by glorified effort posts I meant book, lolOhhh, my bad!Regarding the second bit, I'm not sure how to explain it. I am a man of the material world but I am not a materialist, rather, I am more invested in the living plain and our future, than I am the afterlife. Irresponsible, yes, when it comes to religion. But I'm unsure how to transcribe to you about my falling out. Like, for start, I did generally take it seriously but political things always just fascinated my brain more. Which would kind of serve as an underlying issue, future wise. I didn't "lose my religion" in some atheistic sense and I'd generally consider myself a Deist, I just don't really fixate on religion at this point. While bold, I feel like I ascertained what I needed to generally learn in order to build up principles but.. I was never fully in it either. How do I put this? I opted out because I wasn't giving it my all. Religiously, I believe that I should be putting the Church above all else, but I found myself coming at odds with the Church on various things. I don't call myself a Christian because I do not devote myself to Christ in full, ergo, I feel I'd be insincere. I find, over my years in politics, that most do not take is seriously or use it as some political drape, in which they will contradict continuously. I'd rather give it my 100% or not. The latter won out.TL;DR, politics, philosophy, and the material plain fascinate me more than the afterlife. Theology just didn't enamor me as much as politics did, so I acted in honesty towards it and myself. Moreover, I've just grown more progressive on issues and I don't think I can reconcile them with the Church. I also think bending the Church makes it invalid, so yeh.Hopefully that gives some coherent answer? I'd be happy to elaborate further.
>>542759300>filters are not new, in the catalog I meanYeah, that's what I figured. I guess I just didn't think of it at the time and gotten disinterested before I could realize their fullest application.>I don't have the desire to constantly argue social issues anymore. I did that in my 20s - abortion, women, gays, racism, ecelebs, party politics, trump, and any number of other threads I've seen hundreds of times before. That's a good, healthy, perspective to have reached. I did all the same, like you stated, for hundreds of times, countless threads and hours, and largely for what? It's all anonymous and moot anyway. Needless to say, I've been hitting that point as I draw ever nearer to hitting 30. I guess the only contrast here, is that I effectually moved on from 4chan. Just not in that lame way that people pose about. I simply don't find the same entertainment I once had.Genuinely, I am intrigued that news is even worthwhile here anymore. Perhaps I keep my nose abroad enough, to generally just keep up without needing this place anymore but I dunno. I just haven't even felt that compulsion to return for news. Not unless it's particularly nuanced in some weird way, I suppose. That all being said, I'm sure there is still utility if you have some stance on a matter. The board should prolly give a more predictable output you're seeking otherwise. For me, I feel like I've generally been taught enough on here to be able to discern bullshit when I see it, myself. Just requires effort, I suppose.Regardless, yeah.. I know that feeling all too well. Knowing when to chime in and just not, is a good thing. There is nothing in this life worth bickering over with someone who's very rigid and narrowminded. If their mind is already decided, there's no arguing to be had there. It's why I always hated debates, rather, I love discussion. I find it more insightful and overall enticing.
>>542753773I have recently finished reading Boccaccio's Decameron (in English translation), a collection of comic tales told by young men and women who have fled the plague in Florence and are attempting to pass the time. I suspect /pol/acks will find many of the themes in the book congenial: it is full of wayward, impulsive women, scheming and lustful priests, gullible and simpy husbands. I have also read an anthology of much of the source material Boccaccio used (fabliaux). I encourage you all to read this material, as it will give you an understanding of what people in the Middle Ages actually thought, which as a heads up, bears no resemblance whatsoever to the sentimental, chivalric view that today's "conservatives" are ignorantly attempting to impose retroactively on European history. See the following links:https://z-library.sk/book/d5R02bMAvp/the-decameron.htmlhttps://z-library.sk/book/VOwzqez0v3/the-fabliaux.html
>>542759098Ukraine is Nato vs Russia, it really is ww3 developing, as Russia has indicated numerous times, and some people in the West have admiited as wellIran is some contrived power play by Trump to fuck over China and rebalance the middle east, and I have a feeling the americans believe it is manageable, like playing a game, and I have a feeling the Iranians and the Russians who are helping them do not consider it a game at all, and europe/usa will be hit hard soon too. the war is coming home, I imagine Putin plans to move around winter, russians historically use winter to their advantage. it will happen when the weather coolsI do think ww3 is developing. and I do think this board is capable of doing meaningful things, it just needs some guidance. reminds me of what Kaczynski (one of the books in your OP) wrote:>the raw material for a real revolutionary movement does exist: There are people with sufficient passion and commitment who are willing to take risks and make great sacrifices. Only a few able leaders would be needed to form this raw material into an effective movement.I guess that's my job. I have some ideas coming soon, hopefully.>I was a /b/tard still at that time.same, but also /lit/, /sci/, and I explored /r9k/ for a while too, less anarchic than /b/ but too depressing. /pol/ has the right temperament and more focused, unlike /b/, and with filters I focus it more. ideally there would be a better site, cleaner, less noisy, but I don't see one. I do read Israeli social media (rotter), which is an improvement on /pol/ in some ways, eg. duplicate threads are merged, so just less spam, and they are more civil with each other, but it's not anonymous either, plus only Israelis can post there. and I like the wild freedom here too, we just need to put it to good use, gather together, and get the hell out of here before it's too late
>>542759064>What I needed to be reading was human psychology. Edward Barnays PropagandaExcellent book there, and supremely underrated. I remember learning from it back in 2018. Honestly insane how little people realize just how much the world as it interacts with us, is downstream of his influences on things.Regarding the latter bit, I don't have the technical knowhow to properly comment on much of that, but it was fascinating to read and see that someone on here even engages in such activities.Regarding LLMs, I largely use em for parsing through something to find what I am looking for, when need be. That or I guess mulling over ideas, similar but not quite to you. Largely running it by it, to see if try and correlate my thoughts with something or whatever. They're overall useful as a tool but nothing to do thinking explicitly for you. That all said, you got some good reads in there as well. I need to go back and read some fiction myself, if I'm to be honest.

I just finished the 4 volume memoires of Paul Barras of the French Revolutionary Directorate en Francais. >>542760000Dmowski is only "Myśli Nowoczesnego Polaka", which funnily enough bashes already on retarded MAGA type nationalist in Poland in 1903 and calls them out for being pussies and hindrance to society. But it was also redacted through his life. He started as Deist and at death bed ended up Catholic and angsty because Piłsudski stole his bitch who didn't want him (typical incel). As for Piłsudski nothing I know in English. If you want objective view on history of Poland then Norman Davies "God's Playground" where he doesn't jack off to catholic church nor commies nor nationalists, but points out what was done good and what was complete retardation from polish side. Even expands on things they do not teach in Polish School i.e. who fucked over idea of Liberum Veto and that it wasn't so simple till one bought by Russia noble started fucking country by abusing it and refusing to elaborate(which before him was a must to fill veto, but this part never was codified). And if you want fascist thingy. Plato "Republic", Han Fei Zi "basic writings" or "severe code of legalist".
>>542759703My bad, I accidentally missed this reply.I know this is cliché but I'll believe it when I see, in respects to things massively escalating. I don't disagree that Ukraine is NATO v Russia though. However, I do believe we're also just using Ukraine as a proxy to study modern warfare. This has developed substantially and greatly changed many armies in consequence. If Russia dared to make a massive move against Europe, Russia would fold immediately. If Putin is intelligent, he'd know better than to make a larger shitshow beyond Ukraine. I don't say this as some NAFOtard, rather, given the conflict in Ukraine, it's evident that Russia isn't as mighty as they put themselves out to be prior to the conflict. Rather, have shown their ass to the world, unfortunately. That said, I think Trump is just trying to make a lot of artificial conflicts to just sporadically come in, try and win, then dip on. Issue is, Iran is lasting longer than I think he bargained for. Moreover, he knows that if we land over there, he is thoroughly cooked in terms of long term clout.>I do think ww3 is developing. and I do think this board is capable of doing meaningful things, it just needs some guidance.I don't inherently disagree the board can get things done, I mean shit, we coordinated a strike against ISIS once in here. Anything is possible, just a matter of people locking in and getting more serious, rather than spastically shitposting forever.>Only a few able leaders would be needed to form this raw material into an effective movement. That is the issue we are currently dealing with, I believe. Revolutionary action is viable, to whichever degree, the issue is that everyone is either followers or retards who worship dead people from a century ago, as if it'll do anything. Ergo, people put their energies in the wasteful things, rather than trying to be the change they wish to see.(1/2)
>>542759703>>542760593That said, I too, have been generally cooking but I'm not really sure at where or what point I'll be making some notable move. Needless to say, I'm aiming joining up with the DSA and see what I can ascertain in there. Yeah, I know, probably sounds retarded to most on here but I see where the wave is heading and they're picking up any good orator they can muster. So if you got the brains, and oration skills, you may be able to carve something out in there. Idk, I can yammer on but I'll save the grandiose ambitions speech for when they materialize.>same, but also /lit/, /sci/, and I explored /r9k/ for a while too,/r9k/ I never got the appeal of any I'm too late to even humor the place, as it has seemingly been gentrified into something else. While it isn't my center-focus anymore, I am Polish diaspora, so it'd be fun to go read more into. For what I know of Dmowski, he was certainly interesting. More convoluted than a glossary look and I wish I had more to access on the guy. Pilsudski, I find also to be really cool and I have rough understandings of his politics but wish to learn more. It's unfortunate how much is either just polarized or not translated to English. Also I'm surprised someone on here is actually suggesting anything on the Legalists. >>542760593>>542760734all good. I agree with you about Russia's relative lack of strength, but they still possess tremendous destructive/military power, and they have an axe to grind. Putin likes to operate in the shadows. attacks in the West are already occurring, many of them, they're just unattributed/deniableI expect the same will continue but the severity of the attacks will reach the cities and begin to seriously disrupt social order/functionthis is somewhat reciprocal, given how much the West has devastated Russian oil and refinery output, but I expect it will get worse. I also think there's a chance belarus/russia moves in on ukraine in a serious way soon too, Putin has been talking about ending the waras for organization, I don't intend an actual revolution, as perhaps kaczynski did. I see us all on a sinking ship, mutiny on a sinking ship is retarded, redundant and self-defeating. I don't think the left will prevail here, as much as they would like to and perhaps the media would like them to. I expect the war will escalate and the right will consequently further entrench themselves in power, but it's hard to say. left/right is somewhat artificial these days, Trump himself was a lifelong Democrat, and most Democrats are corporatists, both sides compromise to spend money everywhere, and the country is going bankruptback to the point, revolution in the sense of the acknowledging the system is unsustainable, and the dangers/risks, and fundamentally transforming the way we live in the world. as obama said, "leave the world behind", to abandon the world for the Ark, as Noah did. or to abandon the sinking ship for the lifeboats>I just know I'm tired of the cyber realm of things.we'll have to leave the cyber realm soon too, it is weaponizable.https://archive.4plebs.org/pol/thread/540500720/#q540507656

There's a lot of talk but y'know, can't exactly just take him at his word on everything.Well yeah, in respects in revolution, I just meant it in a broader usage of the term. Revolution inasmuch as there is goals for proper change. However that materializes. That said, I don't think the ship is so much sinking at this point, rather than it is a thing on the brink of rematerializing into something new. The Republicans are as good as dead, soon as Trump's term ends. They'll be fighting to try and fill Trump's void. I suspect the AF types will be the next big thing for them. Regarding Dems, the DSA is on the ascendant. They're booming more than they ever have been and from my understanding, most Dems are sick of Status Quo Democrats and want non-containment Left, to take over the Dems. Thus you have Mamdani and many other characters gaining popularity and power. The DSA, in other words, is likely to supercede the DNC. Dems seem to be moving towards "New Deal" ideology which seems promising. While it isn't ideal or "endgoal" for me, I'm open to New Deal policy and drastic overhaul of our system. That all being said, the world as we known it is already and is on the brink of transformation. Just a matter of what really. I suspect it'll take a decade to fully see, so it'll take a bit of time, given how things go.>we'll have to leave the cyber realm soon too, it is weaponizable.Given the propensity to decimate any form of anonymity and the like, yeah, we'll be forced off here one way or the other. >>542759406I agree, I also don't think it would make much sense to try to devout yourself to the church if you're at odds with some aspects of it, although I think being at odds doesn't necessarily mean they are irreconcilable forever, in fact, I was at odds with most of what the church stands for for most of my life, it took me many years to finally come around now I'm curious, you say you've grown more progressive and thus even more incompatible with church doctrine, can you elaborate what you've grown more progressive on or in general, which parts of church doctrine you're at odds with? I also think that an interest in politics and religious devotion can easily go hand in hand, I actually think you can't really look at one without the other because they are so deeply intertwined or do you think you had to chose because being interested in worldly affairs can't exist alongside striving for the kingdom in heaven?
>Apologies if I don't cover every topic, I'm just trying to keep myself from writing walls of text to everything as I tend to yap too muchall good, I tend to do the same. I don't think the DSA types are viable nationally. in NYC is one thing, but I doubt the arab running for senate in Michigan will win, maybe I'm wrong. the party out of power tends to elevate more extreme voices, but when it comes to winning national elections they need someone who appeals more broadly, who will attract corporate money, cynically, who will have the support of the corporate national press, etc. there are a lot of establishment actors baked in who reinforce the status quo. Trump was fairly exceptional in that regard, but he also had his own money to spend + russian bots helping online. plus he was already a household name, fairly moderate on the radioactive issues like abortion and gays, on the right side of the immigration debate and where most of the country was, and the left was a mess (they ran 2 obnoxious liberal women against him)at this point it will be vance in the case where the war escalates or some other national/global crisis, or newsom if things are stable enough>Unless you're into all the autistic tech stuff.no, but I'm looking into it. >>542760860>Also I'm surprised someone on here is actually suggesting anything on the Legalists. They're a group I had a partial interest in at a time but never deeply dug into. The whole bunch of Chinese philosophy is interesting regarding state governing, from Confucius, thorugh MoZi and Xunzi to Han Fei Zi.I.e. there is story of Xun Zi (if I remember right, I was doing political reading >10 years ago and stopped it because it is pointless in "democracy") where he goes to supervise a farm, correts farmers what they should do, and angry farmer goes on him "if you would hel us this would be done faster but you are lazy magistrate" and he responds "I could help you physically, I know how to help you physically, I've done my farming job, but I have 100 other farms to attend to tell them what to do so crops do not fail and we do not starve. Can you do the same for me while I plow this field?" Itfits with Confucian "everyone should know thei place".And if you want sort of sad reading take anything about Ibn Khaldun and his raise and fall of empires (I'v eread book by Hamit Bozarslan about it) to see where the USA and West are going with the whole migration crisis, which is absolutely nothing new as Ibn Khaldun records that before the collapse of empires there was always migration crisis of people who wanted to get rich, but didn't share empire's virtues. And the most dangerous were the groups that actually shared other virtues (asabiya) and just used empire to get rich and spread their own way of life. Which resulted in fall of empire, because their way of life never produced an empire for a reason.

>>542761948I get what you mean with the first bit. Naturally, one would come around but it's a weird inversion. I found two differing parts of me at conflict and one won out.To elaborate further, I'll direct it into the following question.I will preface that this isn't really me attempting to convince you or anyone, rather it's just a internal discrepancy I have than it is outside of me.With that out of the way, I'll attempt and give a general rundown. I cannot pinpoint where or when it began but it's multifold. A big pivotal point had to do with some paranormal type encounter I experienced back in 2022~ maybe 21, where I woke up paralyzed and heard this disembodied... aggressive breathing over me. It felt like some sort of demonic thing or Lord knows what else, but this happened twice in one morning to me and weirdly after that, I feel like I was severed from my capacity to be sensitive to anything denoting to the paranormal or afterlife. Yes, this sounds schizo but it plays part. Naturally, if you're religious, you're ought to have some form of relationship with these concepts. It's just kind of gone from me and I feel it impact my capacity for interest in the like. That, specifically, was some tipping point but I wouldn't say it was my *reason*.Outside of that though, I had my own assortment of contentions. Firstly, my politics have grown incongruent with it. I inherently believed in two different Totalitarian precepts that didn't exactly align with each other. Catholicism and my belief in, Revolutionary Statist politics. Over the years that I read deeper into Fascism, I've grown to realize how wrong my Reactionary outlook was prior. As for the fact contemporary understanding of the ideology is so backward. While I don't expressly take the moniker of "Fascist", my framework by which I interact with the world, is through it. So that is to say, I've changed many views on things. I'm not really adherent to Tradition for Tradition's sake. (1/2)

>>542761948>>542763132Ergo, since I am not in favor of the Church & State fusing, it creates two different entities that will naturally conflict over seeking interest in influencing the population. In short, my allegiances would be with the State over the Church. Naturally, it's hard for me to extrapolate on this as it's highly relative to hypotheticals or contexts. Regarding progressive things, it's largely positions I may conflict with Reactionaries on. I'm not like a bleedheart Progressive, but I'm either lenient on things like abortion, death penalty, but also in favor of LGBT Rights, or maintaining equal opportunity/right for women. There are likely other things I could list but I need to sleep here soon. It's hard to really outline it with a spotlight than it's just a matter of allegiances where they clash.Moving forward, I do not disagree that politics and religion aren't necessarily incompatible. It's just a matter of values. However, I do believe that unless Symphonia is achieved between Church and State, they'll forever be bound to contradict eventually, as I see the State as an influencing actor on the population. Many things are all relative, nonetheless. I'm not really satisfied with my answer so sorry on the quality of it.>do you think you had to chose because being interested in worldly affairs can't exist alongside striving for the kingdom in heavenI'm just overarchingly more concerned about the here and now, on top of the world our descendants inherit, rather than fixating on afterlife affairs. >>542766364I would argue that hindsight is 20/20 and that just because Germany did so well early on does not mean they were a bully throwing their weight around against helpless nations. France was considered to have the best military in the world and was extremely aggressive, having literally invaded Germany in 1923. Poland was not innocent. Your government was a military dictatorship hostile towards Germany with a large army. Enough arms were captured from Chezchoslovakia to arm half of the Wehrmach! It isn't as much as Keynesianism necessitates war, it's that it made Germany strong and allowed it to survive a precarious two front war for a long time.

And they start some bigger war every 10-15 years or so.I always wondered how it is to read things, and have zero understanding of what you read? How do you live like that? >>542767006Oh polbro... I am sorry you are so blinded by jingoism. The situation I outlined is an uncontested fact. As for keynesianism requiring war, I must say there is a difference between it requiring war, and germany pushing it so far that they had to go to war to pay it off with captured loot... but, then I must also say, pay who? Germany wasnt financing their war with creditors. They bartered commodity for commodity. And Germany only went full war economy in 1943. This is uncontested fact, so was Germany really forced to go to war to pay their manufacturors and builders? And again, with what? As if not doing so would crash their economy? They controlled the economy. They weren't reliant on foreign creditors and currency, they couldn't have their economy shut down if they didn't pay back interest. Germany needed food, yes, but that was a result of war, not of the economy.

Most people don’t argue to learn, they argue to be right. With that said, I still come here for news and opinions because there is value in knowing what the hive-mind is fixated on.
>>542753773Pic rel should be mandatory reading. One of the best books ever written and foundational to anyone who wants to really understand the bullshit Marx pulled or the popular writers like Burnham that tried similar analyses. Where everyone else tries to imagine the scaffolding, Belloc just touches the bottom. Like I said, it should be mandatory.
>>542753773I’m even publishing a book at a pretty good publishing house soon. I read quite voraciously, currently grapes of wrath and east of Eden by Steinbeck and I read a fuckton of philosophy and other humaniora. I still visit this place because I can process vast amounts of information 12 hours a day easy. Just switching it up.
>>542753773I recently bought Aristotle's Politics, Plato's Politeia (with ancient greek on the left) side and Claymore Extreme volume 1(the manga). I'm reading Aristotle's Politics.

>>542753773>What do you read?
>>542753773I’m reading papal encyclicals and a book on the Heidelberg art school
>>542753773Someone's obsessed with fascism.Have you noticed it's literally the Democrat Party yet?
>>542755058Are you orthodox? I’m a tradcath and we have stuff like this in our library
>>542753773Readin is fucking overrated, 99% of books is spam information and entertainment for the midwit plebs. You can try to prove me wrong
>>542758763> very few people seem to want to do anything meaningful aboutNigger there is nothing we can do except ride the wave and not get on the truck when it comes for us. The drones will get us first
>>542760789I loved this. Shout out to another new American classic for The Pale King
>>542764385DISGUSTING KIKE PROPAGANDA
>>542767534You’re missing books from that.
>>542753773I sold my library to the local bookstore. They paid over $500 for two bookshelves stacked full. That's the only benefit these dusty paper weights gave me over the year lugging them around. All the pages filled with useless knowledge didn't do me any good except for the money I got in my pocket now...
I get that this is supposed to be a political board, but your selections are a tad on the nose. Oblivious even. No fantasy. All very serious (notwithstanding the majeur faux pas). A couple of actually decent reads though. It’s about time you developed taste, people. Seriously.
>>542779596I really admire the French proclivity to value style over substance. Afterall, quality is often both beautiful and functional. One can drive an ugly piece of shit car and it has utility but driving a beautiful piece of shit at least makes you feel better about driving a piece of shit.
Downloaded the Gillian archive last week and am reading Blood Music by Greg Bear right now.I've been reading a lot of dystopian sci-fi as of late, only thing that gives me hope these days. That and the collection of the Outdoorsmen magazine I accrued. We need to go back. Forward is spiritual and soul death.
>>542758763Add me on discord, if you have it: northsealand.
>>542779953My less interesting book shelf, just to get then out of the moldy garage.
>>542753773That's a lot of self-propagandizing. Commies do this too. The worst is when these kind of people couch their ideas behind an intellectual veneer. Statists are trash.
Reading ideological slop is no better than reading Facebook statuses kek.
>>542779901I was not rating style here as I would not have found a single book to redeem. You took the easy shot, and miss. This list remind me of a NYT best-sellers but for the fringe. Imagine being stranded on an island with these.>>542780270You might want to try The Ancient City recommended earlier, fits in your ballpark
>>542780753Agreed, now to be stranded on an Island with “Murder on the Orient Express” or “Lord of the Rings” would be much better. The books may not be of any utility for survival on a deserted island except only to pass the time while entertained. Much better than slogging through idealogical propaganda.
>>542753773Dresden files. I don't need some kike to tell me how to think.
