Is there any proof that what this guy claims is true? I'm going through my VA disability process right now I spent 4 years in Iraq and Afghanistan and I have a very hard time believing any of what he's saying. Firstly I don't think you can get $2,000 unless you are married and have dependents and even then you would have to be at 100%. Tinnitus only gets you 10%. The cook thing is also on but maybe he was exposed to asbestos or some other chemical or substance while he was in the kitchen in a certain area that could contribute to disability. If his enlistment only lasted 18 months I have a very hard time believing that he was on earthly discharged unless he was med boarded for being a lunatic.

Every soldier who claimed damage as a result of it got 20 grand. Because of that if you served at any point during that time you were basically given 10% for tinnitus. It's also worth noting at this time this is when the earbuds technology started really pushing into domestic consumer markets and back then the noise level of those things was dangerously unsafe you were getting $120 decibels shot directly into your ear just by using them and a lot of soldiers were using them at the time.
