The salesman used some sort of blue light to gradually shrink a woman down into a squirrel while all the mass being removed was conserved and dumped into a glass box behind him (large chunks of skin, meat, organs, brain, etc) and provided the audience a live consciousness feed. It went from human thoughts to confused fear and screaming. The fear got less and less complex until it was just the word why, followed by hungry, food, food, food. He declared success. The squirrel's consciousness feed started asking why again and he grabbed it by the tail and started beating it against the wall. Everyone stampeded out of the bar in fear.
