Scots have always had a resentment for the fact that England is both more right-wing and has a greater vote share but if it were really about independence they wouldn't be gagging for an all-or-nothing style relationship with the EU where they don't control their own borders or their own economy and have even lesser voting representation. They want to leave a smaller bloc primarily so they can join an larger bloc; in other words, it's not that they're getting railed too hard by England, it's that they're not getting railed hard enough by EUBTQIA+. They want it on every level, not just in vote share but to also be stifled at an economic level and a civic level with unlimited immigration.
