Being able to drink tap water is a sign of being a civilized, 1st world nation.
I would have expected expect Lithuania and Latvia to be civilized and 1st world, since they're Baltic nations, just like Estonia.
So why is tap water drinkable in Estonia, but not Lithuania and Latvia? I thought all Baltic nations are the same.

America and Canada are in many ways now similar to each other than Estonia and Latvia/Lithuania. We don't even speak a language in the same language tree.

But to the point of drinkable tap water: that depends on the municipality. Some cities and towns handle water well and some don't. In Estonia we drill deep in some cities and that gives us clean water.
