I havent had friends in 5 years now, i even forgot what its like to have friends. I overhear people at my job discuss their friends and it's like they are speaking different language. I just go home and browse my computer and do nothing else. Im 19 and living like this since I was 14

Interestingly, this only happened after I move out of my apartment with a roommate and moved in with my girlfriend. One friend became overly cautious of covid and didn't want to go outside and the other was kind of a shut in already. Anyway, I started hanging out with other friends and hitting the bars, so I didn't realize that years had passed without talking to my old friends. Now that I have made this realization, I find myself yearning for their friendship and have reached out to them. I get a lukewarm response from my old roommate and still have heard nothing from my other friend, whom was a friend of 10+ years. I don't think I did anything to either of them, but I dunno, maybe I did and I deserve their cold silence.Moral of this gay story: cherish the friends you have and try to rebuild old friendships if you can
