You ever think about how growing up - the most popular artists for white kids were bands that sang about depression, suicide, self pity and guilt?Billy talent, papa roach, simple plan, sum41, blink 182, rise against, avril Lavigne, etc?How come these bands were so popular, well known and pushed so hard. Nowadays most music is designed by committee to be as marketable as possible.Don't get me wrong, lots of tracks were specifically included on albums because the record label demanded it, but the artists still had some creative license for a lot of what they played.
