I'm really concerned about AI when it comes to online discussion and anonymity. One of the greatest tactics you can use against your enemy is dissension and demoralization. If you don't believe you have people to back you up, you abandon your position. I don't mean you switch sides or conform to the consensus, only a liberal does that. I mean you stop engaging and sink back into "it is what it is" and never fight. Eventually you won't bother posting because you'll be overwhelmed by nothing but posts from your opposition to the point it's like pissing in an ocean. It happens all the time on left wing places like Reddit. 4chan has captchas for bots, but they are not AI. It's only a matter of time before you have networks of PCs that are running AI agents that post here (if not happening already.) It's advancing rapidly to the point where you won't be able to tell a real human from an AI. But it's not the libtard posts that worry me. It'll be the right wing ones that have soft takes that steer us. The "hello fellow kids" done subtly to try and slowly steer consensus. You ever see a bunch of /pol/tards agreeing on something you don't and you were taken aback by it? I'm not suggesting they were AI, but rather how it made you feel. Have you ever reconsidered your stance because of it? A lot of us have over long periods of time being exposed to the same board opinions. Be honest with yourself.I don't want some verification or ID, but at the same time, I don't want to try and have a discussion with a carefully constructed program designed to manipulate me.I think we're fucked.

All your data moves lile a shipping lane and the point of origin is traceable the whole route. It's been that way since the beginning of the internet when it was colleges jointly researching.
