He could have had a very impactful legacy by using his last six-year term to go full scorched earth. Call out everyone; the Jews, the panderers, the hypocrites, the criminals… he knows about all of it because he’s older than Yoda. That would absolutely cement his legacy as a Senator with decades of experience “going rogue” to preserve his nation and serve the will of the people.

But he would never do that. No senator ever would. To become a Senator you have to be a psychopath. You have to lie and game the system. You have to fuck people over.

And even if he was willing to do it, it would be his last term. He would lose his position of power. This is one of the arguments for term limits. But with universal suffrage and a system that benefits sociopaths, they would simply use that last term to benefit themselves materially.
