I'm sold on her being what she is, which is more than I can say for a lot of female leads these days. I do think they've spelled the end of the show out a bit too hard with the exposition and flashbacks. A bit too much. Feel like they could have breadcrumbbed a bit more with the flashbacks. I feel like I know how the show is going to end already. I still want to see the next season though so they're clearly doing something right

Nano seems to be the 'poison' but there's nothing saying it evolved into Grey Goo or that AI got out of hand. The end of the world might just have been ordinary nuclear bombs. Hopefully they deployed Gray Goo to finish off the brown people or they would wake up to Planet of the Apes.
