In the history of nuclear powers, not a single one of them who ascended to that rarified air did so by using their weapons, and they did not use them after they had ascended. Rather, the consequences of such unimaginable power have led even the most radical insular regimes like North Korea to largely chill out. Maybe it's just my news sources (which 90% of the time is a direct feed of Israel approved headlines from a Bloomberg terminal) but I haven't heard even a tiny bit of press about north Korean saber rattling, or trump trying to even court him, since they tested a nuke. Some little missile tests here and there notwithstanding, they've had a nuke for years and shockingly, they haven't arbitrarily nuked anyone else yet. I do not believe that Iran would just randomly decide to risk their absolute annihilation merely because they got a chance to nuke tel Aviv. More than likely they would just chill out and at most try to control the strait, and the fact that we were so fucking unprepared to deal with this exceptionally predictable scenario is entirely on us. The consequences of that colossal fuck up our politicians richly deserve, and I hope things continue to deteriorate so the probability of them all hanging from a bridge increases exponentially. I could not give less of a fuck if Iran has a nuke, North Korea has one, and unlike Iran they have a delivery system that could actually get it to America. Iran has none of that, yet we're off fucking them up. What about the North Korean menace? The country explicitly has the destruction of the US as a stated war goal, a nuke, and shitty yet good enough ICBMs... What the fuck? Í don't understand why this needs to be explained to anyone. A nuke would freeze Ísraels border, and that's the real reason we care.
