It constantly holds us back as a country and they constantly refuse to do anything about it. I distinctly remember listening to the radio in my car some time around the 2009 crash, after I had lost my business and was having a very very bad day, and there was someone on the news even back then complaining it was a serious issue. 17 years later and the problem still exists.Career politicians will be the death of this country, they're only do anything that is populist, with high approval, and is accomplishable withing their 4 or 5 year tenure, so that they can win the next election. They almost never support large scale infrastructure projects.

Industrial-purpose acetic acid is much stronger and sometimes needs to be anhydrous, aka, no water content at all. Vinegar can take weeks to ferment, while acetic acid can be synthesized directly in hours. Etc.
