I have the high-IQ thread cure.
My contention is that history ended with the advent of radio and advertising in the form of print/media ads, which eventually converged with the creation of film and television, at which point history ended.
What I mean by this statement and the deeper details you will find within: I will endeavor to explore the topic through a modern question and answer forum, a replication of the Socratean ideal in the modern time.

To have a highIQ thread, it has two main components:
The thread
The posters of the thread

Beyond that, a negative result is also a valid result.

the winner always makes the history and it doesnt matter if its in a book, or on TV or handed over orally through reciting memorized storys.
>>
>>543090186
Ok. What do you mean by history ended? As in there was a radical shift in human culture? Obviously "history" marches on with time. 100 years from now, if everyone isnt dead, people will be taught of things happening right now.

Nice. Let's use big words so the foreigners need to use google translate and a dictionary to follow our dialogue.

I have a college degree in advertising and studied it extensively. There certainly is a noticeable effect on the world as propaganda techniques evolved during the second world war. Goebles developed some pretty advanced techniques and after the war you have men like Edward Burneys who were leading the charge. Burneys was able to trick American women into smoking for example.
You get to the 60's and 70's and the techniques and technologies for propaganda were refined further. Now you have subliminal advertising and neuro-linguistic programming and other methods. The ability of the select few men behind the curtain, to program the minds of the normie masses, is at an elite level like has never been accomplished before. The brainwashing is complete and total.

History is just a collection of various psyops the elite is running on the plebs.

I see. Is this what you meant, OP? Within this framing, there is no way to prove one way or the other if even the framing itself is true. You can look back and find contradictions but there is no way to actually prove which account of something is the objective truth.

It goes far beyond that: from age 1-2 as soon as your brain is able to comprehend language, it’s bombarded by non-natural concepts and this has been the case since, as mentioned, the larger advent of mass print media (which generated comics, news articles and tropes, initial memes, etc.) and then beyond this, the concept of radio which combines an “auditory experience” with also one of authority.

what's interesting is that I've been thinking a lot lately about the downfall of man and how (((advertisers))) have much to do with it
it's a multi-trillion dollar industry and they all seem to bat for the same team politically
sure, they used to have a lot more sway with pride month, niggerdom, and tranny shit, but lately those things have become passé
but you look at the kinds of people that the (((advertisements))) target: easily manipulated consoomers, it's almost like (((they've))) found a way to trigger something in their peanut brains to get them to think a certain way
i'm not entirely sure, since i've always hated (((advertisements))) and actively seek to boycott anything that is overly annoying or repetitive, but everyone has someone in their lives that is susceptible to (((advertising)))
if you're close to them, monitor their reactions to certain things they see on the television or hear on radio
you'll soon see what I mean
there's something sinister behind it, and I truly believe that (((they've))) found a surefire way to trigger some sort of dopamine response in a large swathe of the populace
i'm not sure what the mechanism is, whether it's tonal or visual stimuli, or it's just something that only activates in certain people that have taken certain drugs in their lives

The concept of history was originally a process begun in the Roman era, by and large, and went from a process of recording events, into what it is now, where things that do not exist or exist tangentially to the real world through memes or ideas drive people’s desires.
Take, for instance, modern ‘superhero’ worship.
There are people who define themselves through these archetypes in part. (For example, policefags who put a ‘Punisher’ logo on their truck, etc.)
Take this in contrast with history in the past, for example, in the days of Teddy Roosevelt or Andrew Jackson (this isn’t to get into ‘the past is better’, bear with me) — they acted in a way which was meaningful to the nation and the situation at hand, as opposed to taking into account ‘what will my actions be perceived as’ or ‘to what media will my actions be compared?’
People believe they can learn about the world by observing illusions, which is not the case, but beyond that, because the world *has become* partly illusory, to ignore the illusions entirely is to also be unable to affect change.
>>
>>543090186
You should read Mcluhan or just watch his videos, he likes this sort of topic.
History has not ended though, you are currently living through historic events. We are just in a degraded state and degraded time so this history could easily be forgotten because
>who cares
People only have so much time and there are better stories to tell.
>>
>>543091625
You have a malicious part of this as well but I mean that even if you are being in a sense neutral, it still presents an illusion that does not exist.
People cannot learn by watching TV, reading books, or interacting with the world because such a large part of it has become wrapped up in myths and superstitions and continued through images.
>>543091642
>>543091815
The concepts of history are in part psyops, but now it’s at the point where the fundamental things in reality have become combined with illusory perceptions that are necessary to exist in the world as it is.
Once you hear ‘Rock’ music, it can’t be unheard, and it exists outside of nature. The same is true of classical music, and different forms of pleasure. But when pleasure and information were made indistinguishable by the modern world, this is when the illusion began to overcome a sense of seeing the world as it is.
>>
>>543093352
Events have not stopped, and there will always be events and recording of events.
But history was previously the recording of the infinite combinatronic possibilities of nature and fate in tandem…
Now events are the byproduct of again, psychologies that only exist in relation to a reality which is illusory, intentionally manipulative for the purposes of censorship and sales, and have to exist as such to be relatable to the world.
You may have seen a video make the rounds on /pol/ where they ask the girl in it ‘who is batman’ and she either doesn’t know or feigns ignorance.
But to be asked ‘who is batman’ is an inherently anti-historic question which again, points to how reality has become illusory.

Think about learning for another example of what I am speaking about:
Learning about mathematics in the time of the greeks was a process of learning how numbers related to each other, counting, shaping areas through calculations, whereas comparatively, learning about mathematics in the 21st century only happens alongside the process of being institutionalized. (To the institutions of schooling, advertising, social media, etc. which are unavoidable consequences of the institutional process)
To avoid being institutionalized, for example, being homeschooled or similar, still reaches the same problem where the individual is unable to relate to the illusory world that is conferred through experience alone.
>>
>>543094545
>dude did you just call me a dumbass?
>wow you must be some psychobabble words I learned… or something
This is a perfect encapsulation of an individual who believes with certainty they are thinking and seeing the world, when the opposite is the natural truth.
>>
>>543094228
You have to actually say something first.
The concept you’re using is again, outside of history and is basically no more than phoneticizing an emotional reaction to an abstract idea you can’t present accurately.

>history ended

I 'd say history rewritten and our world reset. In the late 18 century history was buried. Melted buildings, cities under our feet, tunnels, catacombs....
Does anyone here have knowledge of their family members which lived in 1700's? I menaged to get tinformation from 1840's onwards, before that nothing, and i did my research. We will probably get reset again if the ai panopticon fails to completely enslave us.

>If we got rid of them everything would improve
actually its unlikely that anything would change. whoever replaces them has to play the same game and to stay elite/at the top they have to trick and abuse the plebs too.
if they dont, they will quickly get replaced by people who do all this.

Edward Burnays was the nephew of Sigmund Freud, the famous psychologist. In 1929 he arranged for a group of young women to walk in New York's Fifth Avenue Easter Parade while smoking Lucky Strikes. He had his secretary Bertha Hunt invite them under the guise of a feminist protest, and they tipped off the newspapers in advance that these women would light "torches of freedom" and photopgraphers were positioned to capture the moment. The next day the New York Times ran the story "Group of Girls Puff at Cigarettes as a Gesture of Freedom" and images and stories spread nationally.
So they did a little magic trick, to make women think that smoking a cigarette made them more liberated and free.
Female cigarette consumption rose from 5 percent to 12-18 percent by the mid 1930's.

Furthermore, what people don’t consider is that inasmuch as the plebeians are suppressed by bankers or systems beyond their control, they themselves cannot escape these systems because they cannot conceive of existence outside of them.
This is another element of the death of history and the end of true thinking without illusions.

I can conceive of living outside the system, it looks a lot like being homeless. I think most people are quite good at conceiving a life outside the system but that life would be much worse in a lot of big ways.

Yes, the process of recording it became the concept. You have to keep in mind that there is a subtlety in what history itself is, because it’s never just “one side”, the events humans create have many facets, like a diamond does, by which changing your point of view changes how you see the object itself.
In this same way, because historical events increase in complexity along with the observers and perspectives, only certain perspectives of events are recorded. Not every event is recorded either. History is a means of describing how things have come to be and how most have agreed they happened… both of which are tropes or memes created by those people who decided ‘I think I will write this all down’
I suspect as well it was related in some ways to the concept of “recall of past lives” and history was a means of informing your future lives about your past, but this is mere speculation about the origins of the process.
>>
>>543101827
You literally cannot imagine certain ways of life.
In fact your post is a great example.
>if I don’t do the modern thing
>then I will be forced to do the other modern thing
People used to exist as farmers and hunters. We have destroyed entire ways of life and then blindly act as if no humans ever existed as such.
North American Indians come to mind, as do southern plantation owners and subsistence hunters, etc.
Your idea of home/homeless is also completely a modern illusion.
