Be the only guy in 1000 miles who can repair some expensive professional equipment.I repaired some Pioneer CDJs (dj equipment, they go for thousands new) that i got for really cheap because the queue button was flakey and the output port was broken. The guy who sold them to me was immediately interested in hiring me to repair other CDJs after he heard i was able to fix them so quickly.

>>543128051Fucking go for it, but it doesn’t really require skill, really the most important thing about it is patience(learn to clean and properly care for your soldering iron tip, keep it tinned, if solder stops wanting to flow, don’t reflexively turn the heat up, instead dip your iron into the “copper wool” or tip tinner), and having a steady hand, but you can get around that by creatively steadying your hand against a solid structure. Outside of that, it’s all about having an eye for detail. Familiarize yourself with IPC 610(or 620, whichever is soldering acceptability requirements). Actually familiarize yourself with both. Oh and the pay isn’t so great at first but if you’re half decent at it you’ll be OK.Here’s an example of how to not do it, what to avoid.
