More than half the money ended in Chinese bank accounts. Some invoices covered military equipment and purchases for Russian security services.Standard Chartered accounts in Hong Kong received $1.1 billion from A7-linked entities. DBS in Hong Kong was sent $273 million, Citigroup clients $74 million and Deutsche Bank clients in Europe about $18 million. Seventeen entities at First Abu Dhabi Bank sent more than $1.8 billion outbound. A7-linked names also used JPMorgan Chase accounts.First Abu Dhabi and DBS told the FT they had closed or acted on the accounts identified.
