Also you have the silent filibuster which is historically used by the minority party to stop any meaningful legislation from passing because the Senate rarely has a super majority (60+ senators from a single party) which can bypass all filibusters to push meaningful legislation to the President's desk. As a result, this can help the minority party in upcoming elections with the messaging of "they have all three branches but they aren't doing anything" when in reality, the minority party is abusing the silent filibuster to prevent the meaningful legislation sent to them by the House from being done just so they can have a shot to reclaim power in a few years when elections come back.How is this not common knowledge? Do people really not understand what a super majority is compared to a simple majority in the Senate or how any of this works? It's as if people think you only need 51 Senators from one party and 218 House Reps from that party in order for said party to push through whatever it wants.
