Man this is like really depressing actually. We’re getting to a point where there’s just no child friendly spaces left. Like I legit think of everything I did as a kid. Toy store? All adults now. Video game store? All adults. Amusement and theme parks? Legit a sea of nothing but childless adults. McDonald’s play places? Can’t even remember the last time I saw them. Parks? Half of them don’t even have a functioning playground anymore. Being a kid these days is probably so depressing, no wonder 90% of them come out of the womb doomscrolling instead of playing soldier or hopscotch or whatever

All of my nieces/nephews are practically buried in toys from grandpa and grandpa. Boomers were always major consumers, and buying shit is how they think you show love. Now there's more shit than ever to buy. Every week there's some new toy or gizmo that just magically appears in my brother's home, and I know he ain't buying it. Every singular child I know these days has more toys than me and my two siblings had combined.My wife and I have actually started buying books for our nephews and neices because they just do not need anymore toys.
