Thoughts about the bond market?
>>
krainer is a fuckling retard
>>
Unironically the most important thread on /pol/ right now, but since nu-/pol/ is full of retards it will probably get very few posts.
>>
I think I heard the same talk under Biden. The beat goes on. Boil the frog slowly.
>>
>>543181001

Why?
>>
>>543181256
he thinks trump has some kind of secret plan, he believes he's some kind of mastermind genius
>>
>>543181198
Washington can literally ban gold guns and alcohol and Americans will shoot each other in the face before they change the elite.
>>
The bond market is only "collapsing" if your whole existence is perpetuated by debt. That nice house? Debt. That hot wife? Debt. Your fake ass pseudo-scam company? Debt.

Niggas had almost 20 years of fun times with cheap money, time's up. It's no wonder people look back fondly at the 80's and 90's compared to the 2010's and 2020's. US bond yields were 6-10% that entire time compared to .5-3% since 2009. Last time the 10y was 6% was 1999 and that was a great year.
>>
So, estimated timeline for the prophesied bond market collapse?

>most important thread
It's the most important macroeconomic geopolitics topic. That is beyond 4chan's grasp
This thread sucks and OP = namefag memeflag
(also Diesen's take is going to be typical 'transitioning to a new order west v. east' which is bullshit, the entire global system all 160 countries go down when the UST-founded debt market implodes. Yes it's different this time)

My prediction had been we wouldn't see the Nov 2024 election.
Here we are still spinning plates two years later
>>

Bessent is buying long term bonds and issuing short term treasuries instead, soon they will need to refinance something like $8 trillion.
It's a race to the hyperinflation.

>It's a race to
prevent total implosion of the global bond market.

>short for long
Bessent is merely rearranging deck chairs on the S.S. Debt Titanic
Interest Payments on the debt now comprise half of the annual $2.2 trillion U.S. Congress fedgov spending. At current fedgov spending rates America's treasury reaches total default in 4 years. Global debt market won't last nearly that long

That's basically been the MO since 2008. The question is how long can they keep it up?
>>
>>543184219
not long if they can't rollover trillions of debt this year, Fed will have to buy them effectively injecting money into the domestic system.

I wasn't talking about Bessent *in that sentence* ESL
Global investment banks, corporations, hedge funds are using every trick in *their books* (just as Bessent is) on the hidden multitrillion$$$ eurodollar networks to keep their own giga-interleverage operations afloat.

>basically been the MO since 2008

Correct.
Magnitude of global debt has doubled since 2008

The national debt was also far, far less. It's not quite the same.

This anon gets it.
The post-1970s global economy is Financialized. All wealth in the 21st century is sourced, generated from (no, not 'capital', 'labor' or 'work') *speculative debt instruments*. <-- Unearned income has become the primary method by which the global economy's top establishment, using debt instruments and debt note fiat currencies, are creating wealth and increasing GDP (which is less and less comprised of actual Real Economy goods/services while more and more comprised of Financialized debt and speculative instruments). Making money off of money—aka debt—itself alone is what all 'growth' today consists of.
Global debt topped $255 trillion in 2019, $307 trillion in 2023, and $350 trillion in 2025, almost four times the amount of all global economic output. Public debt—sovereign debt of governments—in 2026 comprises ninety-four percent of the entire global economy; IMF predicts in three years that reaches one hundred percent. World governments soon will owe as much as the entire global economy produces in 12 months duration. Total debt levels and deficit spending of the past 30 years has eclipsed that of the past several centuries of western civilization, and absurdly low and negative interest rate borrowing costs have incentivized national governmentsto no longer borrow on the expectation that they will repay, but rather the expectation they will refinance.
