People will always find a way to suffer. Self-conciousness was a tragic misstep in evolution. We simply became too self-aware. Nature created an aspect of nature that has ended up separating us from itself. And now we suffer. You can see it in all the myths. The ancients understood it. Eve eating the apple. Cain and Abel. Romulus and Remo.It happens to little kids too. Kids, at first, a pure openness. When they learn to talk, they try to talk to everybody, they are like a well raised golden retriever, always excited to interact with the world and with every single human being near them. Then comes the suffering. That first slap by your parents. The mockering. THe bullying. The abuse. That suffering makes you self concious the same way Cain felt when he was jealous of Abel. You understand there is not "oneness". There is you. And the world. And they are opposites. Your self awareness keeps growing and thus the suffering increases. And you realise the only option is to run. Keep running. Money, knowledge, sex, drugs, gossip, whatever. It's all the same. Pure escapism. You can see it everywhere. if we assume god is a future (or current?) human being that will eventually achieve omnipotence, then every single part of the past, every single thing that has ever happened, would become a cyclical necessity for his own existence. my personal theory is that the (demiurge?) creator of the universe is itself a cog in its own creation and has no real agency, a slave to causality just like everyone else, and everything happened exactly the way it did because it was physically impossible to do otherwise
