The MAGA movement is very WHINY these days. This is part of their aura loss/lack of appeal recently. If you go to MAGA-affiliated media outlets, there is a lot of whining about leftists being mean to Trump and Trump supporters. But the problem is, you're in power - you should be powerful enough to either ignore the leftists, or bully them into silence.If you do neither, it just looks weak and off-putting to outside observers. Also, it's probably worth noting that 'Sanctuary Cities' are also taking their toll. The regions that dug in and prevented ICE from deporting large numbers are regions that maintain D control. Legal issues etc. I don't really want to debate what was possible or not, I'm not a legal scholar. But the material reality is that some of these regions were tried, and the results were probably not enough to turn the tide. Not sure if the redistricting plans went through either.
