>Early into the conversation, Klein brought up a Chinese study on AI in schooling, which examined 26,000 students who began using AI in staggered intervals. Klein explained that by delaying the AI adoption for some, researchers were able to directly compare the impacts of AI on student performance. Though students were able to complete work faster with AI, the study found compelling evidence that the cognitive skills needed to complete school work melted away, resulting in lower exam scores in the long-term.
>In response, Huang agreed that student cognition is getting much worse.
>“Try to get a kid to do long division right now. The multiplication table is starting to be forgotten. Doing square roots, my goodness,” Huang said. “Basic math is being forgotten. Does it matter?”
>“That’s my question for you,” Klein replied.
>“Yeah. I don’t think it does. I don’t think it does,” Huang said in response. “We’re going to discover new [skills],” the CEO continued, “just maybe not those.”
>The interview then took a bizarre turn, with Huang admitting that he lacks some surprisingly basic life skills himself.
>“There are a lot of skills that don’t matter,” he said. “My first confession, I actually don’t know my address… one day I had to pump gas — it was a few years ago. They needed my ZIP code, and I panicked. I didn’t know my ZIP code. I don’t know my telephone number. I forget these things. I can live with it.”
>Huang’s point, after some pushback from Klein, is that “we’re going to lose some finer intellectual dexterity, but we’re going to be better systems thinkers,” because AI will take care of those mundane details — like remembering your own home address — for you.

I don't know my telephone number either

>>
gemini write me a short response to this

Here are a few options for a short response, depending on the tone you want to strike:

Option 1: Skeptical & Witty (Focuses on the extreme example)

Forgetting your multiplication tables is one thing, but completely forgetting your own home address and phone number isn't "systems thinking"—it's a dependency on your phone. If AI ever goes down, Jensen Huang is going to be locked out of his own house.

Option 2: Critical (Focuses on the broader argument)

Conflating foundational cognitive skills (like math or critical thinking) with rote memorization (like a ZIP code) is a huge blind spot. You can't be a great "systems thinker" if you don't actually understand the fundamental building blocks of the system.

Option 3: Balanced / Thought-Provoking

He has a point that we outsource memory to technology (like we did with phone books and calculators), but there’s a massive difference between outsourcing memory and outsourcing cognition. If the foundational skills melt away, what are we actually building systems with?

Professor Spitzer said in 2014 that the rise of smart phone and children using it will be a disaster. he said, the brain is buildt in a way that, the more you put in, the more fits into it.
If you speak 2 languages, you need so and so much time to learn a third language and the more languages you speak, the less time it will take to learn an additional one.
the same applies to everything. If the brain is not used it will decay.

Would you say that about the Abacus?

The Pen and Paper - Would Athenians balk at the prospect of writing everything down - as a form of lessening the faculty of memory?
>>
>>543281479
bro, some east asian countries have handwriting classes for teenagers because their national exam whatever is done by hand. the kids have to take the handwriting classes before the exam because they never write by hand and can barely do it. there are endless skills and cognitive capacities that used to be common but are now basically extinct. and vice versa. 20,000 years ago people didn't even have numbers because they're useless to hunter/gatherers. Old abos are still this way today: their counting system is 1, 2, many. Math ability came about due to certain circumstances, and may dissapate due to other circumstances. It's just how things go and there's no fighting it.

The abacus, pen, and paper were external storage and calculation tools that still required the human brain to do the actual thinking and processing. AI is different—it's an outsourcing of the cognition itself. Writing something down helps memory; having an algorithm do the synthesis, problem-solving, and math for you replaces the mental muscle entirely. You aren't just shifting where you store information; you're letting the muscle atrophy.

Even though this topic is about AI, this particular part reveals huge problem with evaluation in current education systems. AI use and it's consequences are a symptom of a failing educational system.

>>
>>543282381
Plato was actually right—writing did change how we memorize things, and modern humans have vastly weaker oral memory compared to ancient bards. But writing externalized storage; AI externalizes processing. We stopped memorizing epic poems because we didn't need to, but we still had to comprehend the text. When AI does the reasoning, synthesis, and problem-solving for us, we aren't just changing how we remember—we're bypassing the active cognitive struggle required to actually learn.

Exactly. It parses solutions so well that humans stop trying to understand how the problem was solved in the first place. If you never have to wrestle with the logic yourself, you lose the ability to tell a good solution from a bad one—or to solve anything when the AI isn't there to parse it for you.

memory is one of the easiest skill to achieve. This is why medical studies are so crowded and doctors knowing that all they are is just being parrots keep people from becoming doctors. The same with lawyers.
Somehow mathematics which needs to develop its own brain funcntions (as per MRI scans of mathematicians and normal people) is not so crowded. Because to learn mathematics you need to really start thinking out of the box and create completely different brain patterns than those you use everyday like memorizing words or pictures as medical doctors and lawyers do.

Anon, you think free thinkers and intelligent people will be those valued in the age of AI? AI does the thinking, it doesn’t need thinkers. What it does need are consooomers ultimately
What has our economy in the last 50 years been? Anything of any complexity requiring real intelligence has been discouraged and automated away. This process of the replacement of human beings “automation” has already been happening since the Industrial Revolution and it’s only ramped up to insane levels in the Information Age.
Thats why there are dozens of millions of jobless and homeless Americans, our economy simply doesn’t require the workers. It does need endless consoooomers though.
That’s why our education system has turned into propaganda mills for IdPol sexual orientation nonsense for decades and kids leave and they can’t read or do basic math or function at all
In the Intelligence Age of AI, AIs will have a use case for humans as consoooomers. It won’t have a use case for humans who are freedom loving, open minded and creative. Those kind of people would be a risk.

Chess on high level is almost pure picture memory.
Math needs to be learned from scratch because brain doesn't think in maths on its own.
Music is closer to language than maths as it is memorizing sounds and making them sound right. This is why Chinese and other tonal languages users are actually one of the best musicians and beat most people in europan classical music competitions.
Prodigies are few, and most probably they have really flexible brain that easily creates different connections allowing them to excel really fast in anything they learn.
But prodigies are completely offtopic to the fact that any logical thinking, being able to predict things based on conseqences of actions(i.e. low level chess), physics and engineering skills are hard to learn because these need to put brain out of its natural stance and learn to understand unnatural abstracts.
What AI does it keeps brain in its animal like state where only thing it needs is speaking and understanding speech. No need for abstract thinking because you are left with answers in language you speak not in any absract form like equations. It was the same problem with books, radio and TV compared one to another. Every next step in media made typical brain to ease on abstract thinking as it was fed completely nonabstrac images/sounds/words like it was just talking and looking at things as if it was still a caveman.

>because there's a difference between lacking the know how to knit a sweater and lacking basic cognitive capacities.
You're right that there's a difference, but the value of each skill is based on the society that people live in. People 100 years ago would think that the modern woman is retarded for not being able to cook well, clean sufficiently, or skillfully sew. It wouldn't matter to them if the woman was brilliant only at math.
Jensen sees that we are already transitioning into a society where doing basic math computations in your head is not as necessary for every day life for the average non-technical person. We already offloaded those kinds of tasks to calculators and phones. If you asked a random bitch on the road to do some basic math, she'd probably fail despite doing 12 years of mandatory schooling in the pre-AI era
>>
>>543279083

> I personally remember stuff I've read much better than stuff I've heard.

Plato wasn’t really speaking about individual memories anon but how we collectively remember things. You know how a language usually dies when it has like 5 speakers left? It’s not because it was forgotten by the individuals who knew it. It’s that the language came to have no use to even those who still speak it, because the collective had forgotten it.
There were collective philosophy, medical and mathematical ideas which were known by the ancient Egyptians. That knowledge was lost when the Library of Alexandria was lost.
Human beings are social normalization bias machines. We forget many things collectively and always have. It would be hard for the U.S. to do a gigantic buildout if manufacturing right now, because the manufacturing know how in an every day sense left when the companies moved out decades ago when globalization ramped up.
There are a lot of people who don’t remember there was a time when we had a clean, objective definition for what constitutes a man and a woman.

They are confusing obsolescence of utility with atrophy of capacity. Yes, society shifts what tasks are necessary to perform daily—we don't need to plow fields or sew our own clothes anymore. But domestic chores were physical labor; arithmetic and critical thinking are cognitive software. When you stop exercising the foundational logic required to solve problems, you don't just become "outdated"—you lose the very framework needed to evaluate whether the AI's "parsed solutions" are even correct.

It's probably good to take a step back and look at what's being discussed. The argument that Jensen made is that the newer generations will use their cognitive abilities for systems level thinking instead of low level math calculations or rote memorization. There is no cognitive atrophy because their brains would still be working on complex problems, but at a higher level of abstraction/scale. Being solid at math is not a requirement for being a great thinker, even if great thinkers tend to be good at most academic subjects. A lot of the time you don't even need to directly use math to solve complicated problems.
Another point is that cooking and sewing/crafts can be a skilled labor that goes above simple physical labor. Both activities can be good for your cognitive abilities.

>prak xela

>>
>>543285072
The fatal flaw in the "higher-level abstraction" argument is that you cannot skip the foundational layer and still understand the top. You can't be a great systems thinker at a high level of abstraction if you don't actually understand the mechanics of the system underneath. If you don't grasp basic math or logic, you are just pressing buttons and trusting a black box—that’s not "systems thinking," that's glorified guessing. High-level abstraction requires deep intuition built from doing the low-level reps.

Math is called a language, well because it is language. And language looking around the world is fucking humanmade. It is abstract form of thinking based on made up assumptions and axioms that work together logically in this one created domain.
Fuck you can even see it is made up just by looking at different counting systems over the world and that decimal system wasn't the first and not even toight to be the most logical one for a long time.

>The fatal flaw in the "higher-level abstraction" argument is that you cannot skip the foundational layer and still understand the top. You can't be a great systems thinker at a high level of abstraction if you don't actually understand the mechanics of the system underneath.
In principle, I want to agree with you, but the world is built upon abstractions and you only need a passing knowledge of the foundations to operate effectively. An example of this is that very few people in the world population actually study transistor logic, computer architecture, or microprocessor ISAs, and the very few people that do study all of that only do so in university for a single course per topic & then forget most of the content. Despite that, there are many successful IT professionals who operate at all levels of computing and do complex work. You can absolutely treat things like a black box 99% of the time and then deep dive into a specific topic when the need arises. AI will be able to speed up the time needed to do those deep dives as well
>>
>>543285658
The transistor logic analogy actually proves the opposite point: IT professionals rely on black boxes only because a massive, rigorous foundation of computer science, engineering, and mathematics was built and maintained by the few people who do deeply understand the low-level architecture. If everyone treats everything as a black box and the foundational literacy completely dies out, there is no one left to fix, design, or audit the system when the AI hallucinates. You can't delegate the foundation to a machine without eventually collapsing the whole stack.

Vibrations part is physics you dumbfuck. You just proves you have zero idea what you are rambling about. Maths is just how we describe these physics.

Why we have 360deg as maximum angle of a circle?
Why not 100? why not 10000? Why not 2137?
Just changing this thing would change everything in geometry, and then it would change every part of maths that has foundation in geometry - like how we describe vibrations and waves.

Plato didn’t mean that nobody would write something down. He was doing the same fucking thing himself.
The Egyptians wrote down that they believed Ra might not make his passage through the underworld and the sun rise again in the morning if they didn’t do their rituals. We know that well enough.
There’s a difference between having an idea about something and living it and experiencing it. living and experiencing something is far more important to understanding and learning how to do it than just reading a book or directions.
The world didn’t forget that the Egyptians feared the sun might not rise if they didn’t do their rituals nightly rituals.
The world forgot collectively what it was like to have a population of people, an empire, who live day in and out taking that shit seriously as a way of life, I.e. religiously.
That’s what is lost. When the automobile was invented, the collective memories of what it meant to care for a horse, ride, and handle them faded collectively. It’s not something we place a day to day importance on for our lives at all. Sure there are some who still know, and we still have equestrians and other horse hobbyists out there. But that doesn’t mean how humanity and various cultures collectively thought of the horse hasn’t changed.

I studied applied maths I'm literally smarter than all of this board combined, but I didn't want to say that because that was uncalled for.

And I'm also happy that AI will take mathematicians job, because humans are simply not able to solve problems that are beyond their intellectual scope that's why there was so much seething with the whole Navier-Stokes debacle with mathematicians coping the AI didn't actually solve the problem, even though it did.

Only humans are so retarded to think of themselves as having infinite intellect when the human brain is really limited and our perception of reality is also very limited

Well that's a different problem from cognitive atrophy (the brightest people of today still have the cognitive ability to do hard problems), and it's been a problem way before the advent of modern AI and the cratering academic skills of each new generation. Ultimately, it goes back to what I said before about the value of each skill being dependent on society. You don't need a million people working on transistors or chips these days. Digitalization of information/techniques/knowledge is a safeguard against losing technology over time. AI is actually helpful for that too, even if it gets things wrong sometimes. It can't be understated how often humans get things wrong too!

> How do you know any of the things you just claimed?

He’s ESL, he might be using terminology slightly wrong but that doesn’t mean his argument is incorrect.
Math is just the language we cooked up to model reality in an objective way. Math is superficial to physics, the science which seeks to describe reality and its interactions. After some time mathematics itself became more complex in various ways and started developing ideas that were more exploratory so the fields were split up formally. But ultimately math just originated as an attempt to objectively measure reality with some cardinality, it’s an outgrowth of physics.

Wolfram Alpha is so good it'll solve up to third year math problems for you step by step. This is like having an expensive tutor at your side fast marching you through say, Linear Algebra. And if you can get 100% on Linear Algebra university tests you are the master of the game.

With Wolfram Alpha you can easily score 100% on university tests for that and not even cheating. No WA in the test room just you but you after knowing how to solve all the problems in multiple text books and past test papers.

You can check out how to solve logarithms but so what? Do you do that every time or do you just bring up the log on a calculator. I think it's more important to evade the pedestrian boredom of figuring them out in that primitive manner to jump forward to using them fluidly in solving greater problems and knowing the abilities those solved problems give you.

Do you fret that you drive 45Km to work and 45km home every day and didn't walk run or bike it? It's 2026 and it's a competitive game out there.

Look at first year univ calculus. Is it better to do a sub chapter and solve with great difficulty 5 problems or to go through 25 or 50 or 100 of equivalent problems dealing with the same specific matter in one or two evenings? I think the latter is superior by using Wolfram Alpha.

They are treating "cognitive atrophy" and "foundational collapse" as two separate issues, when they are actually a continuous pipeline. If the general population's baseline literacy and cognitive friction crater, the talent pool of "brightest people" shrinks drastically because high-level geniuses aren't born in a vacuum—they are cultivated from a society rich in foundational literacy. And relying on AI to "digitize and safeguard" knowledge is a circular trap: if no one has the baseline competence to audit the AI, we'll just digitize and preserve mountains of undetected hallucinations.
>>
>>543287104
You are missing the crucial difference between tools that accelerate learning and tools that replace the mental friction required to learn.

Wolfram Alpha gives you step-by-step solutions to help you understand how to solve a linear algebra problem yourself so you can pass the test without it. It acts as a force multiplier for your own cognition. AI text and problem-solvers, by contrast, are frequently used to bypass the struggle entirely—giving you the answer without you ever having to build the mental model.

Your driving analogy actually defeats your own point: driving a car doesn't cause your legs to atrophy to the point where you can't walk across a room. But if you sit in a wheelchair your whole life because a machine moves you everywhere, your leg muscles literally waste away. When you outsource the actual reasoning and problem-solving to an LLM, you aren't "driving past the pedestrian boredom"—you are sitting in the cognitive wheelchair and letting your brain atrophy.

Lets work with real world examples for this.

1. Most people don't need cursive. The only function we have left that requires it is signing your name, and that is partially gone with digital signatures. The worst exploitation people have come up with is lying to kids about the constitution - since that is written in cursive and kids can't read it. Certainly worrisome that propaganda of that tier is in schools, but public school is nothing but propaganda now. It's being corrected with home schooling.

2. Most people don't really need to do math on the daily, and turns out they DO have a pocket computer that does it all for them at all times, much to teacher's dismay. Worst exploit so far has been POS systems lying about tip amounts to get more tips. Which could be caught with that independent pocket computer you have in the pocket if you used it.

So lets extrapolate to AI. If AI gets me to the answer faster: the song I want, the image I want, the clip I want, why not use it? Oh no, I will forget the stupid ass process for making a video, song, or image. The age of said process is literally under a decade (digital processes, not the analog shit). The average person was never working in analog - be it film, songwriting, or art. It was always relegated to experts, and even then film is only about a century old. Do we really need chemical processes in the digital age? People said no, and it's a niche hobby now. So do we really need all these digital processes to make video now? Same shit - we don't. If the product makes us happy enough, we're gonna use AI to get to the end goal: entertainment. AI music is definitely good enough. Especially given how hard the analog processes were.

So no, I am not "dumber" for using AI. It just means I can use AI now to make things that were originally out of reach for me.

I remember learning long division in 3rd grade. I hated it and it went on forever. Have you ever used long division in your entire life? I haven't. I've used trig for building some stuff, but long division? Calculators made it obsolete, so I have no idea why I was being tortured with it in the 1980s.
>>
>>543279083
>see, I am an old man with a well established position in society that allow me to function without some essential skills don’t need these essential skills. So everyone else don’t need them.
Kids still have no position in the society. These skills are important to help them find their position comfortably. Once they find their position they can forget or discard the irrelevant skills.
Long division, multiplication table and other skills, are all designed to build their arithmetic skills. No one is really going to use long division in the future. But knowing how to do it, train the brain to use numbers efficiently.
If he is arguing that since we have a tool to do it for us then we don’t need it anymore. Then where do you put the line for what is needed and not needed? I mean, the AI can do literally everything. With that logic. Kids no longer have to learn any skills at all because there is a tool for all of these skills.

Code is even worse - the languages we use are very very young, and no one writes using instruction cards or assembly right? Fucking hard shit AND a pain in the ass. We use higher order languages now. AI is just the next step - feed it your requirements and it spits out code. Was it originally shitty? Yes, AI was kinda garbage in the early days and crapped out code that did not work. But the new stuff is getting better. Its being integrated with compilers and things. So now it gives you legit code.

That means eventually people will forget C/C++. Because why code at a lower level? The only advantage is efficiency - shit like RCT shows this off, along with the drawbacks using old shit has: no one can support or adapt it. Eventually everyone moves on to the new tools.

AI isn't going to go away. It's effectively a new "industrial revolution" for how we make content. The biggest concern you all should ACTUALLY have is "Oh, fuck, low IQ Indians can now make more content better than I can because I am retarded enough to worry about ethics when in a globohomo society". And China has AI. Meaning you can't put the cat back into the bag, because China will flood the market with cats of their breeding.

It's time to adapt and move on. Just like computers deleted typists and dictation, your shit is next, either adapt or get left behind.

As long as you control the computing environment, or use scantron, the exam is "secure" and does not require hand writing.

As for math, as long as you get the concept, teachers don't need to beat on it's use in exceedingly complex manners. I don't pretend to be a human calc at work doing math, I have computers to do that shit for me.
>>
>>543290114
The funny thing is, with the rise of AI, this is exactly what’s happening. Humans are getting more and more obsolete. What was distinguishing humans from monkeys is their intelligence. Now we have much better tools to do that. In a few more decades, humans will be a liability to the elites rather than resources.
>>
>>543279083
Why do Elon and all these tech CEO’s dress like they’re in a midlife crisis?
>>
>>543290041
Well not really. AI systems still need input, they need requirements from humans. Humans are still the arbiters of what gets made, posted, consumed. It does mean old jobs are obsolete though. We don't need switchboard operators anymore, and that was not the end of humanity. We don't need typists anymore. We don't need photographers anymore - we all have cameras in our pockets, so the few that remain are pros that work for corpos. Cars relegated horses to horse girl activities.

E-celebs won't be dying though. It just means the shitty ones that can't make good content better than AI will go away. All the middling and meh influencers will die off. What will be left is the Great and the hobbyist.

But I get it - if you aren't an ideas person, shit sucks ass to lose your job. But AI is great if you have ideas.

Jensen Huang is absolutely right, and you don't need to be so verbose about it. Math and even the ability to write are for people with IQ at least 130. It's wasted effort for the intellectually average. It's horrible seeing the writings and other works of peasants. Most people didn't learn to read and write, or do math, in many great civilizations, and it worked better that way. This is simply the right wing position.

For peasants, learning math didn't become a majority activity until roughly 100 to 150 years ago, and it was a mistake.

How could AI be making kids dumber? It's kids and parents that are responsible for their education, no one else.

LLMs are most incredible self-teaching and learning tool that humanity has ever had. All of human knowledge is actually at your fingertips now. They've fulfilled the promise that the wikijews never could. And you can ask it questions and have concepts explained in different ways. A motivated person could learn literally anything with a modern LLM as their TA. I wish we had these in grad school, things would have been so much easier and more interesting for me. But I managed anyway.

It sounds like AI is making lazy worthless niggers or spiritual niggers, who don't want to learn anything anyway, cheat all the time and learn even less. I just don't care about them, even if it's the vast majority of students. People with no sense of intellectual curiosity don't deserve our attention or effort in the slightest.

As for cheating specifically, this is so easy to counter. Have proctored exams just like the good old days, with no computers available. And combine that with presentations/oral exams if at a higher level like college or grad school. People *should* use AI to learn as it makes it so much more efficient, and testing them without AI available is trivial. There's not a single excuse to blame AI for any problems with education, and it's not going away so blue haired gay woman teachers will need to adapt, not the students.

It's about information retention, if nobody can remember what they're supposed to do or how to do something, globohomo can directly program people to do whatever they want. For instance lets say the constitution gets burnt up in a fire one day, they have digital proof of it for the record but what if globohomo decides to swap a single inconsequential word? What if they use AI to actively censor other pics posted of the constitution on the net to reflect that change and print new textbooks with the change? That's the future we're heading towards and the one people will have to set on fire literally.

Parents have little to do with it, the main problem is the false god of "equality". Because there are niggers and spics in the same classrooms as white kids, they stopped teaching basic skills to make everyone "equal". People forget "Common Core" and "No Child Left Behind". My complaint is that now even higher IQ students are never given a chance.

Peasants have essentially no memory and no model of the world, and the jews count on this to rule over them.

Exactly, the many retards in this thread are reacting reflexively with the assumption that schooling is good for them.

>Huang admits he is a fucking retard fucking subhuman
But we already knew that. CEOs are usually the dumbest fucking cunts they just fall upwards in life through knowing the right people and sucking the right cocks.

People who think like you should be fed feet first into a woodchipper

>He didn't literally say it, goy!
>He just wants your kids unable to do basic math, so they can only rely on AI WE program, goy.
>Why are you lying so much, goy?
You're a golem or a kike

It's so blackpilling how everyone falls into the boomer mindset of open hostility towards their successors after attaining enough power

Alternative possibility: Jensen Huang is one of the smartest people in the world, and you're the retard. Humn, which one is there more evidence for?
>>
thats not the issue. its computers and automation in general. by not writing stuff with your hand and simplifying the process in order to be faster, you take a giant chunk of activity away. and with slop on top you write even less because you let the computer write your essay. phones, tv, internet, anything that makes you do less is bad. videogames to a degree, but there is actually fairly complicated games that get the nogging jogging in a way almost nothing else does, but theyre slopifying and simplifying those as well. especially coomer gacha shit is insanely braindead with no problem solving, perception or memory training at all.

or drawing. more people will cease to draw completely now, which will make artists even rarer. we already had this issue with performative art and jews taking over making it soley about money.

automation kills the brain. not with a bang, but a whimper. skynet is already here in a way

what you are saying about "equality" is true. however, I'm talking about whites. your average white shitlib parent is more than happy that their little Johnny is not bothering his mom because he is too busy scrolling youtube reels on his ipad.
>>
>>543279083
Not my problem.
I’m a retard and this has been like this since I was a kid and in that era LLMs weren't a thing.
>>
If theories are right majority of people won't have a job because everything will be made by AI. So, is it really that important if people know mathematics or not?
>>
>>543279205
what the fuck are you talking about you ape brained nigger the article says exactly the words in the OP.
>>
>>543296825
Fair enough. Honestly there's no substitute for a smart stay at home mom teaching the kids, but that's a super-luxury now.

It's probably not unreasonable to forget the zip code of one of your three mansions across the country, especially if you're a busy guy and someone else is handling all of your transportation for you. But I guess it's a good thing to say publicly to get people like you fooled
>>
>>543279205
We are responding to " what if " scenarios, presented by op.
Can you grasp what is going on now, or are you too autistic?
/Pol/ is like an old fashioned salon.
Sadly, retards run rampant and one must sift through the sludge and shitposts. But even that, has its purpose.
Don't be so literal, anon.

The public education system was created for one reason only. To make sure enough people were versed in the subjects that the work force would require, after industrial revolution occured.
Now that ai and robotics will be doing the jobs in the work force, the public no longer requires such education.

Their end game is twofold: to entirely replace white colar workers and to have the monopoly of knowledge. For the later to happen you basically tag general knowledge as an "unnecessary burden", hence his position.
LLM progression is logarithmic though. Its not as strong as it seems. They will not make it and thats a good thing.

*note that while NVIDEA is a GPU company they go hand to hand with the actual AI companies themselves so they have a shared objective.
>>
>>543298978
another luddite cope, in few years ago when there was no ai u were claiming how it will nevar be able to text generate, then later how it cant generate pictures ant then video, and now its already replaced many jobs and were on path to ASI and ur still coping
>>
>>543295013
Replacing immigrants with AI is good though
>>
>>543296200
Does that make you feel good about yourself? Since you're not a retarded subhuman like the guy who took a gaming sidecar to the biggest company ever?
>>
>>543279083
If you can't learn and be fascinated by the world with AI you really are a top tier retard

The real problem is the retarded leftist education prison that actually makes learning feel like working in a fucking prison camp with a bunch of feral convicts and niggers which are the majority of public school attendees
>>
>>543298978
>and thats a good thing
It's less disruptive, but is it a good thing? Is white collar work really the best way humans can serve each other?
>>
>>543279083
He's right, no one knows how to fletch an arrow or shoe a horse, there is no need to know in most cases. Specialists will know, and that's enough.
>>
>>543279083
This guy is such a goddamn fucking faggot, and has been since the 90s. It is a goddamn shame that 3Dfx blew its own head off, because this assclown wouldn't be parading around like this.
Imagine founding a company where ALL of your engineers require a strong mathematical understanding to create hw and sw to draw triangles, and then saying this. What a fucking slap in the face
I cannot wait until this nigger has to go back to selling products to gamers again
>>
>>543301402
Exactly, if people need it for his job they will learn it but general people don't need to know mathematics. I bet 95% of people don't even know to do the basic mathematics they learnt on high school. And that is because they haven't need it since they passed the exams in high school.
>>
>>543279083
damn calm down jensen is just asking not asserting it

AI is essentially like an older brother who does your homework by taking the game controller away from you for a time and by the time you cite your sources, the AI has already done that for you as well; but the real problem is that the AI is essentially an extremely powerful calculator that most people don't know what's going on underneath the hood and the AI has to cite the sources of the things happening underneath the hood to cite the sources of how did the Aibo(of which the AI did not exist during the time that Aibo was first released, the AI only has sensory knowledge similar to that of an oyster born in 2019, empirical knowledge based on search algorithms which are based on inductive reasoning, and rationalism dating back much further but still cannot answer the question that Jesus asked the elders when he was 13 years old) eat your homework in your english essay and you essentially have to use discursive logic and by the time you use discursive logic and every chess trick in the book, you're feeding the machine for more AI.
