In this chapter, the person speaking is a recluse, former slave trader. Who, in his own words, is “sick of niggers”. So he goes and lives in a windblown shack on a desolate hill, living in absolute squalor. Where he is found by the main character (I won’t say protagonist) who is even more lowly. This isn’t something said in a moment of gleaming nobility. It was something uttered by a half insane, incel basement dwelling hermit. >that said every man needs to read this book. The audiobook is fantastic. It is a life changing story.
